Valentines Day is a time to express your love and devotion. Around the world millions of people are sending cards and presenting ﬂowers, jewellery and gifts to their loved ones. Ladies & gentlemen...it’s time to be romantic!

alentine’s gift ideas for men and women alike have changed immensely over the years but very few people know where the ideas first originated and why gifts were given on this particular day. It is believed that in the third century AD, Roman Emperor Claudius II, in an attempt to bolster his army forbade young men to marry but a holy man by the name of Valentine flouted the ban, performing marriages in secret. Unfortunately, he was executed on February 14th in AD 270 for his defiance. Thus, every day since then on 14th February, millions of people across the world celebrate Valentines Day with the

giving of a present for their loved one. With the passing of time, people have felt the need to come up with more and more original ideas for gifts for their romantic partner. No longer is it enough just to give a card (often presented anonymously) or a single red rose; people have had to be a little more creative in their romantic gestures. It used to be that an unusual valentine’s gift was just a bigger card or an unusual type of ﬂower but men especially seemed to make some gross errors in this regard. Nowadays it is acceptable that a man or woman express their romantic intent with the presentation of a more personal gift u

Banish Cellulite with Lipomassage Cellulite is every woman’s worst enemy and is often the result of genetics so cannot be improved with diet, exercise, or creams. Previously cosmetic surgery procedures were necessary to help reduce its appearance, however, a new non invasive cellulite technique called ‘Lipomassage’ is now available to ﬁnally smooth out those dimples. To perform the lipomassage treatment, the therapist gently lifts and rolls a handheld motorized machine across the body to penetrate deep into the tissue to even out the connective tissue. The connective tissue that is softened is the one that causes the unsightly dimples on the surface of the skin (cellulite). A single session can last up to 35 minutes and initial results from this type of treatment can be seen after 6 or 8 sessions.

Pay careful attention to fabrics. Silk, satin and sateen cottons are natural and are considered the premium luxury lingerie materials. When buying lingerie it is not the right time to be frugal, you really do get what you pay for. 5. Guessing her size Bust sizing can be tricky but fear not, you have options. If you are feeling ambitious, either put on your detective hat and go looking at labels in her underwear drawer (be ready with a good excuse in case you get caught!) or ask someone who might know (mums, sisters, close friends might be able to slyly ﬁnd out). As a back up, there are lots of other beautiful lingerie items, like camisoles, chemises, and fabulous nightwear, which will be easier to judge the size of (S M or L) and are sure to impress. Finally if you have followed the above rules and it doesn’t turn out right, don’t feel too bad, you are not expected to be very good at this and after all, it is the thought that counts. n

l Rincón de la Victoria es a veces descrito por los vecinos de la localidad como una “ciudad dormitorio”. Situada a tan solo 12 km al este de Málaga es un lugar conveniente para aquellos que trabajan en la ciudad pero preﬁeren las brisas del mar, las playas y la tranquilidad relativa de un pueblo pesquero que ha crecido mucho. Es también un lugar popular donde veranean los españoles y muchas familias tienen su segunda casa aquí. Te puede interesar saber que la municipalidad del Rincón incluye el vecino pueblo pesquero de La Cala y el bonito pueblo de interior de Benagalbón. La rápida expansión de la zona costera a lo largo de los últimos cinco años o así ha supuesto que muchos pueblos costeros se encuentren estiradas al límite durante los ajetreados meses de verano de julio y agosto. Valentine Pavlova combines three favourite dessert ingredients in one dish, meringue, cream and ice cream. Indulge yourself and your partner with your favourite fresh fruit and serve with a chilled glass of spanish cava.

Valentine Pavlova combina tres ingredientes de postre en ún solo plato: merengue, nata y helado. Mímate a tí y a tu pareja con tu fruta favorita y con una copa de cava español bien frío.

4 egg whites 6 tablespoons icing/confectioners sugar 4 tablespoons caster/superﬁne sugar ice cream of choice fruit (strawberries plus your choice) whipped double cream

Put the egg whites into a clean, grease-free bowl. Whip the whites until they stand in stiff peaks. Mix the two sugars together and carefully fold them into the egg whites. Put about one third of the mixture onto a well-greased tin and shape into a rough heart shape. Put the remainder of the meringue into an icing bag and using a fancy nozzle build up the sides of the heart-shaped base to form a heart-shaped meringue basket. Put into a very low oven for at least 3 hours until ﬁrm. Allow to cool. Put onto a serving plate and just before serving ﬁll with slightly softened ice cream, pile fresh or tinned fruit on top and decorate with whipped cream.

Pon las claras de los huevos en un bol limpio y sin grasa. Bate las claras hasta que se queden ﬁrmes. Mezcla los dos azúcares y con cuidado vuélcalos en las claras de huevo. Pon un tercio de la mezcla en un recipiente bien engrasado y moldéalo en forma de corazón. Pon el resto del merengue en una manga pastelera y usa una boquilla elaborada para rellenar los laterales de la base en forma de corazón para que se convierta en una cesta con forma de corazón. Colocar en el horno a 125oC durante 3 horas como mínimo hasta que esté ﬁrme. Dejar reposar. Servir en un plato junto con helado suave, ponerle frutas frescas o enlatadas encima, y decorar con nata montada.
