s Nikolaos Kanellos showed us his aircraft, we couldn't help but keep repeating 'I hope I never have to get inside this helicopter!' everytime he pointed out a new piece of equipment. That's the thing about Life flight pilots – you're happy they exist, but you really hope you'll never need them. Nikolaos, a TraumaOne pilot servicing St. Johns County (and beyond) knows that every day he has to fly, it's going to be the worst day of someone else's life... and that's a stress he doesn't take lightly. This October/November issue is all about locals (like Nikolaos) who give their lives, careers and free time to serving those in our community.
