THE BISTRO Thanks to Chef Chase Pritchard, The Bistro a destination to be reckoned with (for a few hours a day anyway!). Written and Photographed by Steve Parr It’s been said that you can judge how good a restaurant is by how many people are waiting on a table. This is exactly the case with The Bistro at Culinary Outfitters. Located on South Dixie Highway in St. Augustine, The Bistro is one of those places that you would probably never find if you didn’t know it was there, but it’s also one of those places that will be well worth the time you spend looking for it.

There are nine tables that seat 28 people, but the space seems larger than that due to the open kitchen design, where you can watch everything come together.

Now, if you visit The Bistro and decide that having only lunch is inadequate to satisfy your culinary cravings, fear not. Chase’s eyes light up when he starts talking about the new location being planned, to be opened at the St. Augustine Shipyard (off of Arapaho Avenue) later this year. The plan is to be open for both lunch and dinner, right on the water.
