Shantz Station Road between Rider Road and Kossuth Road was closed for several hours on Tuesday when a truck pulling two semi trailers loaded with more than 30,000 kilograms of grain slid into a ditch and flipped around noon. The driver was taken to Grand River Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Crews from Waterloo North Hydro responded to repair a snapped hydro pole. Police are continuing to investigate.
