Kevin Brogan, the newly appointed vice president of marketing, is ready to ramp up events and entertainment at the Hollywood Casino at the Meadows.
Brogan recalls that in 2020, there were over 20 concerts scheduled for that year’s schedule, but currently, there are about four major concerts a year.
“I would like to see a path back to that with entertainment experiences,” said Brogan. “Maybe not a 2026 achievement, but certainly down the road. I want that to be a bigger part of what we do.”
Brogan’s journey in the casino industry spans over 20 years with the Meadows, which eventually became PENN Entertainment, North America’s leading provider of integrated entertainment, sports content and casino gaming experiences with 44 properties in 20 states.
“I’m big on entertainment and energy on the property,” said Brogan. “My goal is to highlight our new promotions and really just ensure, as we roll out new technology, whether that is interacting with our property on your phone through our app or ordering food from our kiosk, that it is a seamless experience for our guests.”
Brogan is very excited about The Tipsy Cauldron pop-up bar and how it helps draw visitors to the casino.
“I am a big proponent of having a nightlife experience, particularly for a younger demographic, that is 21-40 years old,” said Brogan. “There are not a ton of places in Washington County to go out and dance and have a great Friday and Saturday evening, maybe even into the early morning hours. I think that providing that for a younger demographic is just another awesome opportunity to continue to stay relevant to that age group.”
Brogan said the Tipsy Cauldron pop-up bar has been really exciting over the last three weeks and

noted that the last two pop-up bars — Back to the 80s and Beetle Bar — were highly successful.
He began his career at the Meadows in Greensburg as a part-time dishwasher while in college in 2004, before the casino even opened.
Over the years, he progressed to become the guest services manager and then the assistant manager for the property.
“I came down to the racetrack and worked in the mutuels department, which was the finance and count room,” said Brogan. “Then I got my master’s degree through our education program and tuition reimbursement in finance and became a financial analyst for the property.”
He moved into marketing and, a year later, was the marketing director. He was the marketing director from 2013 to 2020. He then transferred to another PENN property in Youngstown, Ohio, Hollywood Gaming Mahoning Valley, as a marketing director and returned to the Meadows this August as vice president of marketing. He continues to oversee the marketing in both locations.
“I like events and entertainment,” he said. “I want people to be wowed. I like for them to have an experience that they want to talk about and share with other people. I want guests to feel that if they don’t come here, they are missing out.”
Brogan said he will focus on ensuring the casino’s social media channels’ content is engaging, so people visit those pages and participate by sharing their experiences. He will ensure that the direct and digital mail campaigns continue to evolve, allowing them to tailor the messages to be more specific to each player.

Wendi McGee, the newly appointed vice president of casino operations at the Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, knew from the first time she put a card on the dealer table that she would be in the gaming industry for the rest of her life.
McGee’s journey in the casino industry spans almost 30 years, with over 20 years at PENN Entertainment, North America’s leading provider of integrated entertainment, sports content and casino gaming experiences, operating 44 properties in 20 states.
McGee brings years of experience and knowledge, not only to the gaming operations side of the business, but also to engaging with team members and guests. Her focus has been directing and managing teams in table games, slots, poker and the Sportsbook.
Her career began in Louisiana, where she started as a dealer of table games. When Penn bought her company, she relocated to Ohio to serve as the director of table games. She left PENN for a few years and most recently worked at a privately owned casino in the Poconos.
She was called back by PENN and joined the Hollywood Casino at the Meadows in September, and is excited for the new opportunity.
“It’s definitely a unique property,” said McGee. “I’ve never worked within the horse racing business, so that was definitely compelling to me. I’ve always liked a new challenge and something different in my career.”
McGee’s goal as she steps into her new role is to learn the ropes of the Vice President position at The Hollywood Casino at the Meadows.
She would like to strengthen the casino’s customer service scores, build a well-rounded team, promote talent on the property and prepare them for the next steps.

“That’s what I like to do,” said McGee. “I want to make sure there is always someone ready to take my job. There are plenty of jobs and room for everybody. I think it says a lot about a leader who can prepare those who are ready to move up in whatever industry it is, take them under their wing, mentor them and get them ready for that next step.”
McGee believes that leading by example and up holding integrity are of utmost importance.
“If you say you’re going to do something, you do it,” she said. “Being genuine, open, honest and available to my team is very important to me. They always have someone they can come to. There is definitely an open-door policy with me. My door is always open, to be exact. I like to be engaged, avail able and always with them on the front line.”
Pittsburgh’s hottest casino is ready for your visit with 2,500+ slots, 65+ table games, a 14-table poker room and a high-energy Sportsbook. The action never quits. Play with your PENN Play card and turn every spin into rewards. For more informa tion, visit hollywoodmeadows.com/casino.

The new Starport Arcade at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows is grateful for the area’s warm welcome.
“The community engagement’s been amazing,” said Chris Meyers, owner of Starport Arcade and Bowling, a family entertainment center. “Since we are an all-ages facility, we did a lot of outreach to schools in a 25mile radius and pretty much every single one reached back out to us, saying they wanted to do a school spirit night, school lock-in or even a fundraiser event.”
Additionally, they will also start offering local beer and wine in the Starport Arcade. Meyers said they will be including Helicon Brewing, Apis Mead and Winery, All Saints Brewing Company and more as local companies reach out.
“We really want the community to be involved in this,” said Meyers. “Community engagement is very important to us.”
The Starport Arcade is a high-energy entertainment hub located at the heart of the casino, where flashing lights, booming sounds and non-stop fun collide.
The Starport Arcade launched in January with a limited selection of games. Following a major renovation over the summer, the space has expanded to over 20,000 square feet.
With over 100 games, the Starport Arcade offers a vibrant mix of classic and modern arcade games, state-ofthe-art bowling lanes and private party rooms perfect for birthdays, corporate events or group celebrations.
The games include pinball machines, arcade games and old-school claw machine games. A few notorious games visitors might remember include Donkey Kong, Qbert and Pac-Man. More current games include Minecraft Dungeons Arcade, Family Guy Pinball, The Walking Dead Arcade and Harry Potter Arcade Edition Pinball.
“We have the largest modern pinball collection,” said Meyers. “The newest title is Star Wars. We have Star Wars: Fall of the Empire. It’s the newest machine from Stern Pinball, and it’s been super popular.”
Visit the website, starportarcade.com, for the full list of games.
Starport Lanes features 24 state-of-the-art bowling lanes, four in the VIP suite. Guests will enjoy cutting-edge audio and visual technology that plays your favorite music, videos and sporting events right at your lane, making for an unforgettable bowling experience. Visitors are welcome to bring their own shoes and bowling balls if they prefer.
And anyone who gets hungry while playing games or bowling can ask the wait staff for a menu and enjoy great food and drink from the full menu of tasty treats.
Starport’s menu includes Sonicboom wings, Mario’s mozzarella madness, salads, pizza, Final Fantasy fries and much more. The drink menu includes Princess Peach’s potion, On/Off, the Excitebike and many flavors of Red Bull.
A few interesting events are planned for the Starport Arcade, including an adult spelling bee, karaoke and themed sing-a-longs. Visit the Facebook page at facebook.com/starportmeadows to see upcoming events.
The Starport Arcade utilizes the vpayez.com site, which allows users to purchase points for payment on supported coin-operated devices.
The Starport Arcade is open 24 hours, while Starport’s Lanes is open until midnight every day.
Meyers has owned Starport Arcade since 2015 and is very excited for the opportunities at his new location in the Hollywood Casino at the Meadows.
“We have birthday party packages for children and families,” said Meyers. “We want to have events here. We want to get the message out that this is an all-ages endeavor.”
There are opportunities for local businesses, families and groups to book the Starport Arcade for private events via the website or by emailing info@starportarcade.com.

The Hollywood Casino at The Meadows is bringing the spooky vibes this season with The Tipsy Cauldron pop-up bar.
The Tipsy Cauldron, located next to ESPN BET until January 3, is serving up some spine-tingling spirits and spooky appetizers this holiday season.
The ambiance of this pop-up bar transports guests to a witchy haven, complete with purple decor, floating candles, spell books, potions, owls and rats throughout the room, all cloaked in a foggy atmosphere.
A fun drink on the menu, The Tipsy Cauldron, will entice a group of four to participate in a make-your-own potion in a smoking cauldron.
“It gives a group of four the opportunity to mix their own potion, and people are loving it,” said James Broadway, vice president of food and beverage at the Hollywood Casino at the Meadows. “We send all the aspects of the drink to the table individually, and everyone gets to mix something in and stir it up, and scoop it out and have their own cocktail. It gives them something interactive to do instead of just having a drink come to the table.”
Other spooky cocktails include Brew of the Bonfire Witch and Poisoned Apple.
Along with the bewitching cocktails, the appetizer menu at The Tipsy Cauldron features creepy food options, including hexed wings, sorcerer’s egg rolls and cauldron queso.
Broadway encourages visitors to dress up in wizard cloaks, witch outfits, or any other TV or movie character they want to embody.
As the holidays approach, the pop-up bar will transition to the Tipsy Cauldron Christmas, featuring a more festive and spooky Christmas concept.
“We wanted to give people something fun to do in the Wash ington County area,” said Broad way. “You don’t have to go all the way down to Pittsburgh to go out and have fun with your friends, especially with all the programming we have going on here.”
Events for the Tipsy Cauldron include trivia night every Thursday from 7-9:30 p.m. and a witch and wizard dance party every Friday and Saturday starting at 8 p.m. If you would like your fortune read, visit the tarot card reader on Friday evenings. After the transition to the Tipsy Cauldron Christ-
mas, a sexy Santa contest will be held in the pop-up bar.
“We’re happy to be that place that can bring something additional to this county, not only for our residents and players, but also visitors that are coming in and people down in the Pittsburgh area and people in the West Virginia area,” said Broadway. “Be on the lookout for what’s next because I think we’ve really found our niche in this. This is our third one, and people really enjoy it.”
Broadway said they are already looking towards next year’s pop-up bar themes.
“So it’s definitely a vibe that we’re going to continue,” said Broadway. “We’ll probably do two or three of them next year.”
The Tipsy Cauldron pop-up bar will operate Thursdays 5-10 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.
There are opportunities for businesses and groups to book the pop-up bar for private events on Sundays through Wednesdays via group sales on the property.
Since this space is larger (55 by 60 square feet) than the previous pop-up bars, it offers more seating for guests. Broadway also said they can rope off private sections if people want to have a private gathering in the pop-up bar. Contact group sales on the property for more information.
