A Message from Superintendent Fred Morecraft
As we close another memorable school year in the Carmichaels Area School District, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible growth, challenges, and triumphs we’ve experienced together. This year has once again shown us what makes our school community truly special - our unwavering resiliency, our dedication to meaningful experiences, and our commitment to preparing students for fulfilling careers beyond graduation.
To the Class of 2025: your journey through Carmichaels has been nothing short of remarkable. You have persevered through uncertainty, embraced opportunity, and grown into confident young adults ready to leave your mark on the world. Through your resilience, you’ve shown strength in the face of adversity and proved that determination and heart can carry you far. Every lesson learned, every friendship built, and every challenge overcome has prepared you for the next steps in life - whether that’s college, a career, or service to our country.
As you prepare to leave our halls, take with you the experiences that have shaped your time here - on the field, in the classroom, on the stage, and within our community. These moments are more than memories - they are the foundation for your future. Know that Carmichaels has
equipped you with more than just academics; we’ve worked to prepare you for life. You’ve had the opportunity to explore career pathways, engage with real world learning, and discover passions that will guide your next chapters.
We are immensely proud of you. Your success is our success, and your future achievements will stand as a testament to the values we hold dear. Continue to lead with integrity, adapt with resilience, and approach life with purpose. And never forget - ”Once a Mike .. . Always a Mike.”
Looking ahead, we remain committed to providing every student in our district with opportunities that matterrooted in experience, focused on career readiness, and strengthened by the spirit of resilience that defines our community. With strong partnerships, innovative programming, and a collective dedication to excellence, the future of Carmichaels Area School District is brighter than ever.

Dear Class of 2025,
I want you to know how incredibly proud I am of each and every one of you. You hold a special place in my heart as the first senior class I’m officially sending off as your superintendent.
You are graduating at a remarkable moment in history—the quarter-century mark of this millennium. Think about that for a moment. You have 75 years left in this century to make your mark, and I have no doubt you will do extraordinary things with that time.
Your journey hasn’t been easy. You’ve shown remarkable resilience by completing your education during and after a pandemic, adapting to a rapidly changing world, and embracing challenges that previous generations never faced. You’ve grown up alongside artificial intelligence, witnessed fashion cycles come full circle, and seen social media evolve into platforms for real change. Just as the Marvel multiverse expanded into endless possibilities, so too does your future hold unlimited potential.
Remember this: whether you discover you have some incredible “super p ower” or you’re simply “the best average person anyone will ever meet,” you have something unique and valuable to offer this world. Average people accomplish incredible things every day—and I’m not just talking about reality TV challenges!
As you step into your next chapter—whether that’s college, career, military service, or your own unique path—carry with you the memories, friendships, work ethic, and values you’ve built here. Most importantly, carry your optimism about the future.
The world needs your fresh perspective, your innovative thinking, and your generation’s unique ability to create positive change. Lead with kindness, pursue knowledge relentlessly, and never stop believing in your power to make a difference.
Congratulations, Class of 2025. We couldn’t be prouder of who you are and who you’re becoming. Now go out there and show the world what you’re made of!
With immense pride and best wishes,
Matthew R. Blair
Superintendent
