Hello Jasmin, how are you? Jasmin Hey! I’m great! Thanks for asking. Obscurae What got you started in your acting career? Jasmin I’ve been acting since I was four years old. My church at the time constantly put up little musicals for the children to participate in, and I loved being in them so much. When I was eight, I saw my first Broadway musical, The Music Man, and from that point on, I knew this is what I wanted to do!

As season one unfolds, they are each forced to face parts of themselves that are perhaps holding them back, both personally and professionally, and they support each other through it all. Obscurae How do you relate to your character? Jasmin We are both passionate about work, and refuse to be defined by the status of our romantic relationships. We are both interested in justice, making the world a better place, and loyalty. In most other ways though, we are very different.

Obscurae What is it like being on set for ABC’s “For the People”? Jasmin It’s so much fun! Our cast is truly special. We all get along so well. Every day on set feels like summer camp - just hanging out and messing around with my friends, and getting paid for it! We are so lucky. Obscurae Could you tell us more about the show? Who do you play? Jasmin For The People follows six young lawyers in both the prosecution and the defense, as they begin their professional careers in the southern district of New York. I play Allison, a public defender, who lives with her best friend Sandra (Britt Robertson). They would do

Obscurae Did you have to research law before the playing the part? Jasmin Yes. I still am! I will be researching well into our tenth season (I’m speaking that into existence). There is so much to learn, and I don’t have time for law school. Obscurae You have been appear in a number of shows like “The Leftovers”, “WILL” and “Stitchers”. What has been your favorite character to play so far? Jasmin Evie (The Leftovers). Evie was my first major role. She introduced me to several people I now love and took me around the world. Not to mention she was incredible to play. I love Evie. Obscurae
