A New Era for Grand Reserve Residential Development
Envisioned to be a residential development reflecting uncompromising quality, the architecture was crafted with attention to detail and sophistication to attract both local and international investment. The site, situated in Rio Grande, offers tranquility and accessibility by merging urban amenities with natural serenity among federal natural reserves. The collection of residences includes two spec villas named Amane, that are luxury two-storey estates can be replicated for continued phases of development, as well as three identical four-story condo towers called Marea Residences which utilize floor to ceiling windows and glass balaconies that allow each unit to extend views as if floating along the horizon The residential collection were designed to leverage indoor-outdoor living at the grandest scale and maximize views of the oceanfront and mountainous range surrounding the site, the approach creates privacy for each element of the site while also linking properties through community trails and access to ammenities. Originally, the reserves were almost hidden, but with our design guardianship, the OBMI team recommended making the reserves part of the allure of the residences. Immersion in nature, rewilding, connection, etc.

Raising the District Profile
Located in the heart of City of Hollywood Block 40 will be an iconic local urban mix-use project. OBM refined and developed the project design to become a premier example of urban living, the project promises to raise the profile of the Circle’s district, and enliven the area by creating street-level activity. The nineteen-story building will include 16,000 SF of retail and dining at street level, a Hilton Garden Inn Hotel in floors 1 through 8, 163 Condominiums on top, associated parking, and will be capped by a rooftop recreation deck. The project incorporates the historic Great Southern Hotel building facades with their decorative glasses, stucco friezes, and metal bracket windows, which will be renovated and integrated to the project. The design responds to the property’s prominent corner location, creating an iconic landmark combining history with a clean, contemporary aesthetic.

A New Experience for an Iconic Resort
Looking to reaffirm its legacy as the Caribbean’s leading luxury resort, Rosewood Little Dix Bay enlisted OBMI as lead architect for its most sustainable, and resort-wide, upgrade since opening 50 years ago. The comprehensive, multi-million-dollar renovation will include the complete redesign of the resort’s guest rooms and suites, its three restaurants, and overall enhancements to the resort’s gardens and landscaping. As one of the most iconic resorts in the British Virgin Islands, Rosewood requested the redesign to be sensitive to the original Rockefeller appearance with new world amenities. The new design incorporates modern style while staying true to the property’s prolific roots as a leading example of ecotourism.

The St. Regis Bermuda, a US$ 120 million investment project in St. Georges Parish, Bermuda, is designed as a gentle arch spanning the beautiful beach at Achilles Bay, sitting between the historic Fort of St Catherine and Fort Albert. The project will include the renovation of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course and will complement St Georges’ UNESCO World Heritage Site designation.
Developed by HotelCo, an experienced international Real Estate and Hotel development group, the new five-star hotel will feature 120 beach and golf front rooms and 90 condominiums. Inspired in the Bermudian vernacular, the buildings are richly articulated and woven into the gently sloping site. The Hotel will become a unique opportunity to experience Bermudian elegant living, while providing a robust economic anchor for the local economy.

Retaining the Integrity of a Pristine Environment
The hotel overlooks the stunning crescent shaped Half Moon Bay, one of the finest pink sand beaches in Antigua. OBMI’s design seeks to encourage guests to inhabit the landscape. The building elements are inspired by nature -with tree trunk-like columns and leaf textured screens. Roof lines in the lobby space open-up like wings to expanding the visitor’s views to the luxury resort’s magnificent seascape. Oriented to restore the body and tap the healing powers of nature’s elements, using the disciplines of Regenerative Medical Wellness and Detoxification, the destination aims to help guests experience deep healing in a natural setting.
Located on a pristine beach front with hilly topography, the project combines a state-of-the art medical wellness center, a wellness resort, and residential offerings, along with nature based amenities - health huts, sea salt water pool, preservation and integration of existing mangrove vegetation. The design is rooted in a sustainable approach, addressing the sensitive components on site, inspiration and respect of the natural site assets, and careful orchestration of the guest experience in arrival and movement throughout the site, and creation of both open and secluded spaces throughout.

An Ultra-Luxury Private Island Retreat
Surrounded by the breathtaking turquoise waters, Montage Cay was envisioned to immerse guests in the welcoming, authentic spirit of the Bahamas through contemporary execution of traditional Bahamian architecture. The 53-acre private-island resort and residential community was masterfully planned to provide ocean-view, suite-style accommodations, each featuring luxury outdoor amenities including plunge pools, outdoor showers, private gardens and lounge areas. Journeying the property guests can discover seven white-sand beaches, an array of swimming pools, a number of restaurant and bar experiences, expansive event spaces, and an expansive wellness and fitness center. Trusted to reimagine an existing structure into an luxury all-inclusive waterfront resort, OBMI focused on creating a special relationship to the waterfront that will provide a guest experience that encourges relaxation and enjoument. The approach integrates a new beach expansion, docks, and two private yachts for guest transportation and recreation. The plan presents a unique opportunity enhance the waterfront and rehabilitate the dormant spaces. Capitalizing on the stunning natural environment, OBMI redesigned the property with contemporary architecture and materials inspired by the surrounding landscape. Urban Design for Modern Living
Zibata Town Centre I is planned to become the heart of New Town Zibata in Quertaro, Mexico, a place for social interaction and expression of community identity. The 100 hectare mix-use town centre will be built around an artificial lagoon and will include residential, retail office and community services. A 250 metre long retail promenade is planned along the waterfront, anchored by a hotel, supermarket and parking garages. The residential compounds are distributed around the town centre, gradually reducing in density towards the edges and the golf course. Each residential neighborhood is developed around a main plaza and early childhood centre. An indigenous cacti park will be preserved on the north side of the lagoon.

A Landmark Urban Destination
OBMI created a richly layered mix-use urban district, geared to upcoming middle-class young dwellers looking for a contemporary, quality urban living experience. The design had to address a key challenge posed by the site’s topography, in which only 44% of the site is above the flood line. OBMI created a dynamic plan in which the various uses fan out around a large open space, purposely landscaped to absorb and manage flooding. The high-density complex is anchored by an retail overlooking the park, creating a open-air town-center, and complemented by midrise residential and office blocks, and an iconic high-rise with Hotel and residences, strategically located as a pivot and visual focus within the overall plan. Other planning strategies included incorporation of shading elements, parking solutions, and creation of a rich pedestrian network. punctuated by activity elements, all of which creates a onof-a kind livework- play destination within tthe city.

Impactful, Evocative, Soulful
Located in the heart of Real de la Quinta, a premier destination in the Marbella hillside, the Angsana Hotel & Residences are perched at the top of a hill, commanding expansive views over the rolling hills below and the blue sea behind. OBMI created a compact plan carefully tailored to respond to the Client's program, regulations, and the complex terrain. The design maximizes long sea views from the Hotel and Residences, which are placed in open U shapes to create two perfectly scaled courtyards where the senses are awakened by the fragrance of the orange trees, the sound of rolling water, and the play of sun and shade. The design honors the mountain landscape, with stepped architecture that hugs the hillside and raised plazas that peer into gardens and pools on lower levels.
The architecture style is contemporary, light and airy, composed of clean lines and simple silhouettes and incorporating elegant references to the local brick wall patterns, and rugged stonework. Angsana is a family oriented brand, and the OBMI design celebrates and fosters family togetherness and experiences for all ages and interests -a moonlit paddle around Real de la Quinta's salt-water lake, a nature hike to explore local flora, time in the fabulous pool, or a family dinner overlooking Marbella's night lights. size/built area 4.6 Hectares / 40,000 sqm
