the notebook the shows
In the same method as our favorite creative exercises, we’re coming at our review of Design Show Season sideways.
With this mix-and-mashup, we hope to spark some creative connections that help you tackle the challenges of Return to Work, Hybrid Design, Flexible Spaces, and those pesky budgets and timelines.
While a counter-height stool design alone might not unlock all of the potential of the workforce or fully-lease a multifamily complex, science and experience tell us the influence of the stool design is significant enough to warrant our attention.
We’ve combed through NeoCon, 3 Days of Design, NYCxDESIGN, HiP Awards, MetLikes Awards, Salone del Mobile, and a few pieces of art and reading to offer a collection to invigorate you as you head into your next project.

Shore Rug SHORE
The deep weave structure provides proprioceptive feedback, heightening the balance skills necessary to maintain stability, agility, and coordination.
Proprioceptive: Your body’s ability to sense movement, action, and location. It enables you to close your eyes, touch your nose with your finger, know if you’re standing on grass. (Yes, we had to look it up.)
Sui Hightower
Designing for neurodiversity includes allowing for movement. Sui is enlivened with a swivel and an embracing wooden surface, creating an intriguing niche with its hybrid, multi-purpose use. When seated, every aspect of the object evokes free movement. Hightower is also newly B Corp certified, showing a holistic approach to their business model.
Neuron Activation Pod ThinkSpace
The Neuron Activation Pod transmits very low frequency vibrations in the body. The technology promotes the body’s natural healing abilities, especially through the quality and power of sleep. With vibration directly affecting the autonomic nervous system, the mind does not have to make an effort to relax. The mechanisms of the nervous system are activated, and stress-related symptoms, such as anxiety, sleep disorders and, according to customer experiences, also pain are relieved.
