Watered Floral Foam
Watered Floral Foam The suction time of an OASIS® Fresh Floral Foam Brick is only approx. 90 seconds. It is therefore not necessary to water Floral Foam in advance! It is best to cut the Foam while it’s dry, then water it and then fasten it in the container. This way, there are no residues. Watered Floral Foam should not be kept in the water for too long, as the germs in tap water can multiply and later impair the durability of the flowers. In addition, already soaked Floral Foam should not be dried for storage, as it is difficult for the foam to become fully saturated again afterwards. It also does not absorb as much water anymore and cannot hold it optimally. Furthermore, bacteria have also formed in the meantime.
ALREADY USED FLORAL FOAM SHOULD NOT BE USED AGAIN. THE FLOWER STEMS CAUSE THE BACTERIA IN THE FOAM TO MULTIPLY AFTER A FEW DAYS. THESE REDUCE THE SHELF LIFE OF FRESHLY CUT FLOWERS BY APPROX. 50%!
