History of Space History of Space exploration covers from the development of rockets which were used as weapons to bomb the allies. Wernher Von Braun was a rocket scientist and pioneer who left Nazi Germany to join US and aid in their space programme. Eventually it was his work who helped America put the first man on the Moon. Join us as we travel through time seeing how the Mercury and Apollo missions helped make this happen. As we examine the mighty Saturn V which remains to this day one of the most powerful space rockets ever produced. We then continue through the shuttle programme then onto ISS and Soyuz.

Astrophotography Lets face it, once we have got our hands on a telescope and can see the joys and delights of the heavens through a telescope, the next obvious thing we want to do is to take pictures! And why not! to this end we explore the use of basic cameras, like webcams which are affordable and can be put into a telescope just like an eyepiece and used to take pictures of the brighter objects like the Moon and planets. We have step by step tutorials with links to freely available software to help us create amazing pictures of the Moon and beyond. Not got a telescope or webcam? Dont worry! We have made available the files which make it possible still to participate and produce lovely images as if you took it yourself! Even create a mosaic of the Moon
