Keep it Clean, Oakland, (KICO) is OPDC’s collaborative effort with students, residents and local businesses to clean and green Oakland. Through the financial support of the University of Pittsburgh, these volunteers connect to beautify Oakland in a variety of ways. KICO has several volunteer programs that appeal to the many different interests of key Oakland stakeholders. Whether you want to meet once a month to do litter pick up through our Adopt-A-Block program, learn how to get involved with tree-planting efforts on your street through Tree Vitalize, or work with your neighbors to grow fresh produce in a community garden, KICO is an exciting outlet for those who are looking to make Oakland a cleaner and greener community.
