The facilities we’re planning will be used by our students during the school day and after-school hours. Any time the fields are not in use by our students, the spaces will be available for use by the community. We already know this model works well both for our school and its home community, because we’ve shared our gymnasium for the past several years and the partnership is fruitful for all. It gives us pride to support the community that Oak Farm Montessori School calls home.
It is often said that people vote with their feet.

Our students’ parents must sacrifice money, time, and energy to offer their children a Montessori education, and yet they enroll their students year after year.
The upcoming athletic complex, including a track and tennis courts, is vital for the school’s athletic program. It removes transportation barriers, enhancing student engagement and athlete participation. The complex supports student athletes, encourages community involvement, and signifies a new era in the school’s sports history.
We believe we’re worth your investment for two important reasons:
1 We’ve identified the type of graduates the world needs today (and every day, honestly).
2 We’ve proven to the world that we know how to develop students of that caliber.
Since we began in 2000, our school has focused on just one thing. We support the development of young people. Our graduates radiate:
We’ve done a pretty good job of that, and we don’t just say so ourselves. Plenty of people say it for us.
My daughter was one of eight from (Oak Farm’s) first high school graduating class. She was able to transition seamlessly to IU Bloomington, thriving both socially and academically…Her teachers provided a safe environment that helped instill a feeling of independence and confidence well beyond her teenage years.
We’re convinced we can build on our success. We believe we can grab the spirit of what happens in our classrooms and use it to give our students even more ways to thrive.
Athletic participation is a proven way for young people to develop their bodies and minds. Our athletic programs started small and evolved over time. Now, participation is up. Enthusiasm is high. Community members notice our students’ positive attributes. They see our educational vision in action. We believe we’ll miss a great opportunity if we don’t take our success beyond the classroom.
We need to take it to the field!
Through a community-based campaign, we will take everything we know about educating young people and apply it fully to athletics. We will build athletic fields that benefit both our students and the surrounding community.
We ask for your charitable investment to accomplish this important goal.
Our vision for Take it to the Field is to build facilities for:
No, this is not a dream. It’s already a reality. We broke ground this spring and will build our facility in phases. We’re planning quality facilities that will endure for a long time. And quality comes at a cost.
