Imposed on Chamoy Thipyaso and seven accomplices in Thailand in 1989 for their involvement in a Ponzi scheme. Under Thai law in 1989, the maximum time anyone could spend in jail for fraud was 20 years, and Mrs Thipyaso ended up serving eight years before release.
