One-Sided Advertising One-Sided: unfairly giving or dealing with only one side of a contentious issue or question.

An advert from a phone company saying that for some reason other companies are taking your signal.

But it doesn't tell you the other side of the story like why they are Companies can use this advertising method to make you think and ask question why are they taking our signal etc.

One-Sided advertising is used when they want to deceive there customers by making them think there product is the one and only “different� product.


Oversimplifying Advertising Oversimplifying: simplify (something) so much that a distorted impression of it is given.

This advert shows a boy urinating on a wall in a not so wealthy country with a nicky tick on the wall (OR DOES IT) Oversimplifying is an advertising technique were the impression of the advert is different to what you thought it would be

This advert to me shows that it is rude and inappropriate. Trying to set a fake seen.

Oversimplifying: advertising is used to give you a distorted impression of the advert so that you think about the ad in your mind longer than ordinary adverts.


Bargain and Free Advertising Bargain and Free: something sold for cheaper then it usally is or sold for free.

This advertising method grabs your attention straight away to this one product.

But are these ads to good to be true, well yes they are they could have strings attached or hidden prices

Companies can use this advertising method to make you think it is a great deal but actually they are tricking you. (sneaky)

Bargain and Free is used as an attention seeker it seeks attention from the customers so that the customers will will by this product unknowingly that there could be strings attached or hidden prices.


Repetition Advertising Repetition: the action of repeating something that has already been said or written.

This product has lots of boxes of the same food to give you the impression that it is a good product. This product by having lots of the product on the shelf can over power the other products so you choose this product.

Companies can use repetition to gain a big name for their company and their products.

Repetition has been used around the world for decades and it is a very advertising technique that tricks you as the customer that their product is the greatest and the one and only.
