Whether we are watching television, seeing pop ups on the computer or reading the newspaper, advertisements are everywhere. Sometimes it is for items we may not need at the time, but at least seeing the advertisements adds to name recognition for when we might want to purchase that item. When I watch television and see a cute or intelligently produced commercial, I know the company hired a marketing company they trusted to get their message across to consumers. Well done or witty commercials or advertisements have a lasting effect on viewers and make the product or service memorable. Reading the Pennysaver helps residents to learn what is for sale in their area or service people to call for home, garden or auto repair or purchases. For businesses and
services, advertising is a perfect way to get their message out to readers throughout a wide radius.
NAME RECOGNITION
There are so many products we use for many years now and that may be because of successful marketing by the company. It could also be that over the decades the message was sent through memorable commercials or ads and remains in our memory. Maybe the spokesperson on TV was a cute cartoon or a person that was easy to see matched the product perfectly that was being sold. For some reason, I
persons or logos that stick in my mind compared to years ago. To prove my point on effective advertising, see what products you can name by an easy clue to associate it with the advertisement.
