Starting with the kitchen, when was it last painted? Then determine if you need to repaint. When is the last time you changed the curtains there? Kitchen curtains are fairly inexpensive and come in lively patterns and colors. Most of us spend a good part of the day in the kitchen and it just makes sense to

Finding Joy in the Workplace

When he was shown the studio, a new concept to a 20-year in college, he was openly critical of the smallness of the unit and its layout—an all-in-one room with only a folding door to cordon off the small kitchen. “No one will want to live in this space, he opined.” His contractor friend responded acerbically to the arrogance of the comment with: “I’m betting my money that they will.”

The lesson in this story may be to remind us of the value in the organizations we serve, and the extraordinary investment made in the growth and development of people and business. When joined with others it is best to learn how to get the most of the combined resource we become.
