Hello! I am Nava, a freelance graphic designer based in Jakarta. My design so far has revolved around illustration and social media. I aspire to expand my work scope towards illustration, merchandising, and publishing.
In between designing and drawing, my time is occupied with either literature or playing hellish cooking games with friends. Having grown up in a number of cities and moved a dozen of times, I am used to dealing with all things new. Whether it’s design trends, obscure films, your evil food-combo fixation, worry not, you’ll have me chip in!

FRITTER MATTER IS A ZINE PROJECT THAT is run by 2 illustrators; me and a friend. It’s a medium for us to get used to merchandising process, such as setting up original products (zines, stickers, etc) to feature in creative markets.
We explore fun topics, like the things we encounter in daily life. fritter matter is a mix of joyful culinary experiences and our puny struggle diary, done with visual styles that feel congenial.*

RAVEN IS ODD WAS AN EXHIBITION THAT was initiated by Rachel Vennya, held in Kuningan City back in 2019. The event showcased a number of installation sets, designed for people to take various Instagram-worthy photos.
With quirky objects, popping colors, and pretty patterns, RAVEN IS ODD introduced “Magical Asylum” as its encompassing theme. The goal of this exhibition is to help raise the public’s awareness on the issues of mental health.
Comprising colorful LED wires and prismatic acrylics, NEON was set to attract with its gleam and glints. It ended up being a favorite amongst Insta influencers to get their pics taken, as seen from @ravenisodd’s feed update at that time.
It’s not so hard to get people’s attention with a room full of stacks of colorful blocks. This set was designed to appear cheerful, cute and friendly, and the material was quite safe for people of all ages, especially for children.*

ARTSEEK IS A BRAND I CAME UP WITH TO fulfill the final Graphic Design Studio course. We were instructed to design a user-centered brand. Artseek is essentially application to help navigate the local arts and cultural attractions around them, i.e. museums, exhibitions, workshops. I kept keywords like ‘vibrant,’
‘modern,’ and ‘curious’ in mind during the design process. Traveloka, Pinterest, and art-related social media were used for references. As the project was done from scratch, we had to design not only the identity, but also initial marketing plans.
As a result, a 60-70 pages long brand guideline was created.*

GREEN WELFARE BANDUNG IS ANOTHER environmental NGO I volunteered in. It was the newlyfound Bandung chapter of Green Welfare Indonesia. For 6 months, I designed and illustrated the social media
contents and collaboration posters. There was a guide on what fonts and colors Green Welfare was using, and that’s how I proceeded. Sketchy, colorful style of illustration was preferred, as
shown by the images above. I was focused on keeping up the friendly brand image and making sure the chunk of information they shared, weighty as it was, remained easy to digest.*

GREENERATION FOUNDATION IS A NONGOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION moving for environmental cause. Their main concern is the UN’s Development Goal no. 12 : sustainable production and consumption. They’ve done a lot of projects regarding
waste mangement. For 3 months, I helped design their social media content, which was mostly centered on Instagram. Other than that, I redesigned their business cards, the anniversary logo, and their Q3 digital quarterly report.*
