CULSANS

Module Iterations / Sustainable Facade / Concrete Modules Initial Design was to channel rainwater efficiently and elegantly, as rain is a common concern in a country with tropical climate. To achieve this, we first approached concrete modules to explore different ways to design. We settled with an inspired leaf’s drip tip. The concrete drip tip channeled rainwater and the curvature accentuated the materiality of concrete to refine the elegance of the module. We wanted to address other major weather of tropical climate - The Sun. Using the same module we explore how can we create shades efficiently. The additional layer was displaced for maximum shading.
