We worked hard with Sam Olsen, OT with Persist Therapy, to get our sensory library ready for use! Cultivate Mankato teachers will also be able to utilize our sensory library, and children will be able to visit and use our quiet space if sensory breaks are needed.

With a mix of starter plants grown on-site, and a generous donation from Terri Anderson of Valley Veggies and Flowers in Lake Crystal, the Preschoolers are hard at work getting our plots at the Community Garden ready for our 3rd year of planting!
On this years menu is: Basil, Dill, Rosemary, Oregano, Sage, Cilantro, Okra, Gherkin Cucumbers, Snack Peppers, Green Beans, Bell Peppers, Tomatoes, Cherry Tomatoes, Kale, Brussels Sprouts, Radishes and more!
For our younger programs who do not visit the community garden, we have 3 raised garden beds and box planters lining our playground fence on-site. These have various different herbs, flowers, and vegetables that students love to smell, pick, taste, and learn about. One crowd favorite is Basil, straight off the plant!
As our plants grow and are ready to harvest, some of the produce will be utilized by our Chef, Liv, in meals and snacks provided to students and staff.
Part of the harvest will also be made available for students and families to take home at the end of the day as a snack or to prepare for dinner.
Please reach out to me at Samantha.Laman@CultivateMankato.com if you have any questions, or wish to request that we add something specific to our gardens for you and your family.

OPENING RECEPTION: Friday, July 28th, 5 - 7pm
We are thrilled to announce our Second Annual Art Show this July! Leave Your Mark is inspired by THE DOT by Peter H. Reynolds. Reynolds explores the idea that everyone has a mark to leave on the world and we are here to leave ours!
This year we will be featuring artwork from the children of Cultivate Mankato, artists from VINE Adult Community Center and YOU. There will be an interactive art experience in the front room where the public will get to leave their mark to be displayed on the gallery walls.
If you would like to help sponsor food or beverage for the opening reception, or art supplies for the interactive art experience, please VENMO Candice with your contribution and mark ART SHOW - Opening Reception or ART SHOW - Art Supplies in the notes. Your contributions will help make this event a memorable one!
We look forward to working together to create an unforgettable exhibit!

As you are likely aware, we have a significant number of members in our Community at Cultivate who have severe nut allergies. Peanuts, along with many other varieties of nuts can cause severe allergic reactions in a wide range of ways, a few of which are by surface contact and airborne particles. As a school we have a responsibility to keep our students, staff and visitors safe and to reduce risk of harm. We require all items brought into any of our sites to be free of: Peanuts, Walnuts, Almonds, Pecans, Hazelnuts, Cashews, Pistachios, Brazil Nuts, Pine Nuts, Macadamia Nuts, Peanut Butter or peanut based chocolate snacks (Snickers/ Reese’s pieces etc), items in which peanuts or nuts are listed as main ingredients, nut or peanut based oils or products, nutbased spreads such as Nutella or Almond Butter, etc.
