Graduate Halls description

Graduate students enrolled in Full-time programmes at NTU may apply for a place in the graduate hall Residences. Being a research-intensive university, new Graduate students by Research are prioritised for campus accommodation. The halls offer distinctive residential life with opportunities for crosscultural interaction.

Rooms at all the residences comes with fully furnished with beds, desks, and wardrobes that maximize living space. The rooms are also equipped with LAN point for connection to campus network.

Graduate students choose to apply for accommodation in the following residences:

GRADUATE HALL 1:

Graduate Hall 1 was established in the year 2001 and is the longest in graduate student residence halls. It consists of three triangular lobbies, each with a kitchen and a laundry room on the ground floor. Each kitchen is equipped with two induction cookers, boiling/chiller, microwave ovens. Washing machines and dryers in the laundry room require coinage.

The room types are mainly double and single rooms, each with its own bathroom. Using air conditioning requires you to recharge your air conditioning card.

GRADUATE HALL 2: Graduate Hall 2 was put into use in 2013 with a total of 14 floors. There is a kitchen on each floor and a laundry room on odd floors. Each kitchen is equipped with two induction cookers, boiling/chiller, microwave ovens. Washing machines and dryers in the laundry room require coinage. There is a lounge on the third floor, a study room and gym on the second floor, and a table tennis table and a function room on the ground floor.

The room types are mainly double and single rooms, each with its own bathroom. Using air conditioning requires you to recharge your air conditioning card.

NORTH HILL DORMITORY:

The North Hill dormitory group includes Binjai Hall, Tanjong Hall and Banyan Hall. It was put into use in 2016. The suite style is divided into two-room and three-room suites. Each suite has a common kitchen and living room. Master Room has its own bathroom. The common room's bathroom is in the interior of the suite, and the three-room type is shared with the two common rooms.

Each building of the apartment is equipped with a sky garden and a sky lounge where students can study, rest and play in the open air.

North Hill is home to the largest gym in NTU, with food courts and badminton courts.

NANYANG CRESCENT HALLS:

Located next to Graduate Hall 2, Nanyang Crescent Halls is NTU's newest hostel, which was put into use in 2017. It includes Saraca, Tamarind & Meranti Halls. There are many room types to choose from as shown in the room layouts below. The supporting facilities available in these halls include function hall, reading rooms, lounges, study decks and pavilion, gym, dance rooms, music rooms and a roof garden. There is a kitchen and a laundry room on odd floors. .

Washing machines and dryers in the laundry room require coinage.
