Palliative care focuses on comfort care and may include active treatments. Any health care provider can submit a referral on your behalf for enrolment to the program.

319 East 14 Street, North Vancouver Provides care for patients with a prognosis of three months or less and who are registered with the North Shore Palliative Program. The hospice has 15 single resident rooms, 10 bed active treatment, and 5 beds respite. Also provides a palliative day program for non-residents. Referral needed by Physician or Community Health Nurse.

A free program offered by the North Shore Hospice & Palliative Project and Vancouver Coastal Health North Shore Palliative Care. This program is specifically designed for patients facing serious illness and their families to realize the best quality of life. It includes guidance information sessions, wellbeing sessions, and supportive counseling. Pre-registration is preferred.
North Shore Palliative and Supportive Care Program 604-988-3131 ext. 4701 Provides free counselling to patients and family members or care givers connected to the North Shore Palliative and Supportive Care Program of Lions Gate Hospital, which also includes the North Shore Hospice and Day program. Family members can also receive bereavement services following the loss of their loved one.
