Our places, our people The Record invites both budding and experienced photographers in Selwyn to submit their images to be in to win our monthly prize pack.
Entries will be printed weekly in The Record and at the end of the month our judging panel will select a winner. Photographs can be of the physical beauty of the Selwyn district or of its people at work or play. All images must

As they say… if you can’t beat ’em, write a ditty about it. There was a wee town way out west Where cell phone coverage wasn’t the best The people divided Poor coverage provided Their patience was put to the test. Vodafone said ‘We’ll put up a mast’ The neighbours said ‘Hey, not so fast! What will we see? A tall metal tree!’ So they fought and appealed to the last. Trying to find, when at home The elusive five bars on my phone Is coverage here? No — it’s there by the chair But it’s best when I sit on the throne!
