l In order to qualify for AP courses, students must go through a rigorous application process of teacher recommendations, assessment benchmarking, standardized test evaluation, and essay writing.

l CTK policy limits the amount of AP courses that students may take: One during sophomore year, two during junior year, and three during senior year.

l The school year is divided into two semesters. The daily schedule is a modified block.

l All science classes are designed and taught as laboratory classes.

l Students are required to take seven classes per semester.

l Students are required to complete 9 hours of service per semester.

l Students are required to take one semester of physical education (class or participation in a schoolsponsored sport).

GRADING SCALE / CLASS OF 2025 GPA DISTRIBUTION

(106 STUDENTS)

l GPA is weighted. AP, Dual Enrollment, and Honors classes both receive one extra quality point.

l GPA does not include courses not taken at CTK or middle school courses taken for high school credit. l CTK does not rank students.

“Faith and reason,” wrote Saint Pope John Paul II, “are like two wings on which the human spirit rises to the contemplation of truth.” At Christ the King (CTK), these wings guide our mission to form graduates who believe sincerely, think critically, and serve others in Christ’s name. CTK is an inclusive, co-educational community welcoming students of all faith traditions. We provide a rigorous, college preparatory education in a nurturing environment that celebrates each student’s God-given potential. Through an inquiry-based teaching model enriched by industry professionals and real-world applications, our students become lifelong learners and masters of the tools of learning.
