“Faith and reason,” wrote Saint Pope John Paul II, “are like two wings on which the human spirit rises to the contemplation of truth.” Graduates of Christ the King will be marked by these wings and distinguish themselves as masters of the “tools of learning.” In accordance with our mission, students aspire to “believe sincerely, think critically, and humbly serve others in the name of Christ the King.”
l GPA is weighted. AP and Honors classes both receive one extra quality point. l GPA does not include courses not taken at CTK or middle school courses taken for high school credit.
l CTK does not rank students.
l In order to qualify for AP courses, students must go through a rigorous application process of teacher recommendations, assessment benchmarking, standardized test evaluation, and essay writing.
l CTK policy limits the amount of AP courses that students may take: One during sophomore year, two during junior year, and three during senior year.
