NSCC Foundation Awards $400,000 in Student Scholarships The North Shore Community College (NSCC) Foundation has awarded more than $400,000 in scholarship awards in the last two years to over 400 incoming and current NSCC students who excel in the classroom and in service to the college and community. Scholarships are also awarded by the NSCC Alumni Association to graduating NSCC students and alumni who are continuing their education at four-year institutions. Most awards are announced at a special reception held annually in early May, attended by student recipients and the donors whose generosity made the scholarships possible. Over 50% of students attending NSCC receive some sort of financial assistance. Since 1985, the NSCC Foundation has presented scholarships to NSCC students to help pay for increasing educational expenses. In total, nearly 4,000 students have been awarded over $3.4 million in scholarships.
