Program and Campus Enhancements in 2024–2025
• Expanded faculty training in the ALICE method (alert, lockdown, inform, counter, evacuate), a nationally recognized, proactive approach to emergency preparedness.
• Implemented Bridges in Mathematics, a comprehensive, research-based curriculum that blends conceptual understanding, procedural fluency and problem-solving skills in a way that is engaging and developmentally appropriate, across our K–5 programs at both campuses.
• Adirondack chairs and picnic tables have been thoughtfully placed across the Main Campus to create inviting spaces for connection, conversation and community building among students, parents and faculty.
• Purchased a new golf cart, the Saints Shuttle, to enhance accessibility and safety across the Main Campus. The cart is used to transport guests, students and staff during athletic events and special occasions and also allows our security team to quickly respond to needs throughout the day.
• Enhanced the Pre-K playground at the Main Campus with the addition of chalkboards, a stage and a new sensory play area designed to spark imagination, inspire dramatic play and support exploration in early childhood.
• Installed gaga ball enclosures on the playgrounds at both campuses. This fastpaced, inclusive game similar to dodgeball encourages physical activity, builds coordination and promotes social interaction, making it a fun and developmentally beneficial addition to recess, summer camp and the Extended Day Program.

I am deeply grateful for my time at NSA and the incredible community that surrounds it. The connections I’ve made here have had a lasting impact on me as a student and an athlete. This community has given me the opportunity to grow, thrive and become the student-athlete I am today. Generous donations that have enhanced our campus, such as the renovation of the Hawks Library and the improvements to the stadium, have truly elevated my high school experience. My many years at NSA have led me to strive for greatness and to reach for my full potential beyond graduation. I will always be thankful for everything this school has given me.
I am incredibly grateful for my NSA experience and the generous donors who have supported my journey. The caring community and dedicated teachers have shaped both my academic and personal growth. The renovated Hawks Library has enhanced my learning with quiet study spaces and collaborative areas for me to host the Operation Smile Club and Student Endowment Council meetings. The updated stadium press box and bleachers have created an atmosphere of spirit and joy during Friday night lights. These opportunities and memories would not have been possible without your generous support, and I will carry them with me long after graduation.
I am very appreciative of the countless opportunities provided to me at NSA through the generosity of donors. A highlight of my high school years has been playing in the new bleachers as a member of the Marching Band at the Arthur E. Jones Athletic Field. The renovation has created an energy-filled environment that is welcoming to all Saints and guests. The kindness of donors supports a community where learning and unity can flourish. During my time at NSA, I have learned lifelong lessons that will help me be successful in personal and professional pursuits in my future.

Together, we can prepare tomorrow’s leaders for a future that is rapidly changing and full of opportunity. By providing funding for additional program enhancements and campus improvements, you can help us continue our mission of engaging, inspiring and empowering our students. Your support of our future projects is greatly appreciated and will make all the difference.

Whether you would like to support NSA today or after your lifetime to create a lasting impact through the Saints Society, we would be pleased to work with you or your advisor to fulfill your charitable goals. The Saints Society, an honorary organization that currently includes more than 70 members, was established in 1996 by past trustee, past parent, grandparent and longtime NSA supporter Sue Birdsong for donors who have created trusts, bequests or other legacy/planned gifts to benefit NSA.
A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) allows individuals 70½ or older to make tax-free donations directly from their IRA to a qualified charity. For 2025, the annual limit is $108,000. QCDs reduce your taxable income without the need to itemize deductions on your tax return. They can also help you avoid moving into higher tax brackets or losing other deductions, and they count toward the required minimum distributions (RMDs) for traditional IRAs, helping you meet your annual withdrawal requirements in a tax-efficient manner.*

New legislation has introduced several changes that, depending on your personal financial situation, may significantly influence how you choose to give now and for future tax years.
• Increase the limits on charitable deductions, allowing some donors to deduct a higher percentage of their adjusted gross income (AGI).
• Expand tax advantages for gifts of appreciated assets, such as stock or real estate.
• Create new incentives for legacy or planned gifts, potentially making it easier to include NSA in your estate plans.
• Simplify giving through donor-advised funds (DAFs) or charitable trusts, making it more efficient to support the causes you care about.
