Forthoseofyouwhoknowme,youknowhowmuchIhatewritingdirector’snotes.Ijustdon’t seethepoint.Youdidn’tcomeheretoreadmytritemusingsabouttheprocessofworkingon thisshow Youcameheretowatchyourchild/friend/studentperforminagoofyimprovshow thatkeepsyouentertainedforthenexthourorso.Hopefully,theworkspeaksforitself.These kidshavedoneatremendousjobonsomethingthatisincrediblydifficulttodo Regardlessof whathappensinthenexthour,theyaresovery,verygoodatthis.Ipraythattheygive themselvespermissiontocomeoutandblowyouallawaywiththeirtalent.Ithasbeensuch anhonortoworkwiththem,andI’mjustasexcited/nervousastheyaretoseehowitallturns out.Ihopeyouallenjoyyourselves.
Morethananything,though,IwouldliketodedicatethisshowtoMikeValentine.Asyou’reall aware,Mikeisretiringafter17yearsasprincipalandcountlessmoreasaMarianisteducator MikehasbeentheprincipalformyentiretimeatChaminade,andIcannotthankhimenough forallthesupporthe’sshowntothekids,theprogramandtome.Mikedidn’thireme,thatwas hispredecessor,butIwishhehadbecausemorethananything,I’mgratefulforthetrustthat he’shadinme.Hedidn’tknowmeatallwhenhetookover,butMikehasalwaysallowedmeto runtheprogrambasedonmyvision I’vedone34showshereoverthese17years:Someof themgood,somenotsogood,somewereevengreat,andthroughallofitMikehashadfaith inmetodowhatwasbestforthekidsandfortheschool Asadirector,ateacher,an employee,whatmorecouldyouaskforfromyourboss?Moremoney,Iguess.That’salwaysa goodthing.It’scool,though.Ijusttakeitfromhimduringfantasyfootballseason.ButMikehas inspiredmetobeabettereducator.NobodyembodiesthespiritofaMarianisteducatormore thanMikeValentine,andhisleadershipbyexamplehasaffectedandshapedmyown approachtoteaching MorethananyoneI’veeverknown,Miketrulyseesthegoodineveryone, whichhasmadequiteadifferenceinthiscynical,oft-timesskepticaldirector.Workingforhim hasbeenoneofthebestexperiencesofmylifeandwhileI’mhappyandsomewhatjealous thathegetstogoenjoyhislife,I’msadtoseehimgo.GowithGod,MikeValentine.Youwillbe missed.

Kiki is overjoyed to be a part of her sixth and final production at Chaminade middle school! Last year, she was a part of "Luck of the Draw" and she is so happy to be included in the experience again. Kiki would like to thank her family for always supporting her, as well as Mr. Russ, Mrs. Russ, Mr. Jones, and Ms. Eaton, because the Theater department would not be thesamewithoutthem!
Mira Charach is an eighth grader, it's her first year at Chaminade and a performer at Chaminade. She's veryexcitedtobeacastmemberintheSpringDrama Production,"LuckofTheDraw."She'sbeenactingsince sixth grade and was characters such as "Anita" in "West Side Story" and "Aaron Burr" in "Hamilton" during JAXX'sMusical6WeekSummerCamp.Mirawouldlike to thank her friends and family for supporting her on herfirstplayatChaminade.

Hadley Gannaway is super excited and a little nostalgic to be acting in her last show at Chaminade Middle School. She has performed three plays at Chaminade including Matilda Jr., Murder’s in the Heir, and Luck of the Draw. Outside of Chaminade’s performing arts she has voiced many characters in movies, series, and video games. She would like to to thank Mr. Russ, Mrs. Russ, Mr. Jones, Ms. Eaton, Mrs. Rohrs,andthewholedramacrewformakingthissuch an amazing experience. Morgan Mortensen Jackson MoneyFinn Ryan is overjoyed to be cast as a character in the improv show, Luck of the Draw Finn is currently in 8th grade and moving to Chaminade High School with an aspiration of theatre. He has been in the previous year ' s Luck of the Draw, as well as the shows Matilda and Murders in the Heir. The characters he played were the EscapologistinMatildaandSimontheIIIinMurdersinthe Heir. He has also been apart of multiple other smaller shows not presented by Chaminade's Drama Department. He would like to thank everybody who helpedhimgetintothisgreatperformance.
