Apprenticeships

Kindly note that your job banding does not always determine your eligibility for enrolling in apprenticeship programs. Instead, the suitability of a program is primarily determined by its relevance to your current working role.

Banding does become relevant with some management Apprenticeships. Should you have any questions or require further clarification on this matter, please do not hesitate to initiate a discussion with the apprenticeship team.

If you are unsure if you can or should register for a particular course, please contact the Learning and Development Team.

Apprenticeships

Professional Qualifications Education Level 2- Level 7

The government defines an apprenticeship as a job with training. They incorporate skills development, technical knowledge, practical experience an coaching through a work-based training programme.

North London Mental Health Partnership is committed to helping staff develop their knowledge and skills through apprenticeships. While these courses can be competitive, they provide unique opportunities for clinical and non-clinical staff working in many different areas, and by offering these opportunities, our Partnership can help boost retention. This is in keeping with NHS England's Long Term Workforce Plan

Apprenticeships are available to anyone aged 16 and over and allow the person to acquire skills and a nationally recognised qualification. Apprenticeships are vocationrelated, so the apprenticeship must be specific to the person's current role.

Functional Skills or equivalent maths and English qualifications (Level 2) are necessary to do an apprenticeship. Anyone interested in an apprenticeship who does not already have these qualifications can access support to help them gain these.

For information on accessing Functional Skills support, kindly refer to the relevant section in this prospectus.

If any of these opportunities outlined in the directory interest you, please discuss with your line manager and then connect with the Apprenticeship Team to find out more about how to apply.
