The BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Construction & Civil Engineering is the equivalent of 3 A Levels and is a fantastic stepping stone to university. This is a great way to enjoy a more practical way of learning and for those who are interested in Architecture, Buildings, Design or maybe are thinking of becoming a Quantity Surveyor.

The course covers 18 units which include CAD drawing, Site Surveying, Project Management, Graphical Detailing in Construction and the Built Environment, plus Health, Safety and Welfare.

Assessment takes the form of in course phase tests, assignments and practical exercises.

You could be involved in seeing through a project all the way from design stage to construction and completion. These projects might include the development and construction of bridges, tunnels, roads, railways, dams, major buildings, coastal projects, power stations as well as new renewable energy sites.
