Adams Middle School COVID Playbook Updated 10-28-2020 Our goal is to provide a safe learning environment for all students that mitigates the risks during the COVID pandemic. North Platte Public Schools has developed a playbook that addresses the daily operations of our schools. At Adams Middle School, we have highlighted areas that are unique to Adams to assist parents in understanding the expectations and routines unique to Adams Middle School. Students will be taught expectations the first day and continue throughout the school year. Students will learn proper social distancing, washing hands, masks and sanitizing. MASKS/FACE COVERINGS ARE REQUIRED IN YELLOW Parents will be encouraged not to drop off students until 7:45am. Students are required to wear masks/Face Coverings when entering the building. Students who are dropped off earlier will be allowed to sit in the lunchroom (must enter through their normally assigned entrance), with limited seating and with appropriate spacing as defined by NPPSD. No more than four (4) chairs per table. Supervision will begin at 7:15. 8th Graders: ▪ Will enter into the building through the main entrance of Adams. There will be no use of restrooms during passing periods, to ensure social distancing guidelines are followed (unless an emergency arises). Students with “A” lunch will report to their classrooms before going to their assigned lunch room. Students will be dismissed to the lunchroom once all students are present in class. Students will leave all belongings in the classroom. Students should go directly to the lunch room (not the restroom, students will be allowed to use the restroom during their assigned lunch). Students will be assigned to the regular lunch room, or 702 by teacher. Four people per table (Could have assigned seating) Students will immediately sit at a table of four(4). ■ Once everyone is seated, rows will be dismissed to grab their lunches (social distancing should be maintained) ■ Students will remain at their tables (no moving around). ■ They will be dismissed by row to dump trays. At this time, they may either return to their table and remain seated until the end of lunch, or go outside (weather permitting) After lunch, students will report immediately back to their assigned classroom.
