Northside Storage was started with the mission to create “first class” and “top notch” storage units to hold all your belongings or prized possessions. In the spirit of “first class storage,” the new logo looks to recall the message of “beautiful industrialization” as spread by the Bauhaus School of Design. In drawing inspiration from the Bauhaus, the new logo begins by taking a font digitally rendered from Bauhaus instructor Joschmi Schmidt’s stencil alphabet. Then the letter “N” tops the letter “S” to create a modern, clean, crisp, unique, and attractive logo that’ll create a recognizable corporate identity that reinforces Northside Storage’s mission for “first class” storage units. This book takes a brief look into “white privilege� so as NOT to shame or make white people hate themselves, but rather to start a constructive dialogue towards understanding the advantages garnered by white people because of the color of their skin. This book will highlight various racial inequalities that still exist because of systemic racism in today’s society. The intention of this effort is not to rub in the face of minorities a reality that seems everpresent to so many, but rather, to bring to light a truth and heightened sensitivity for those who may not be aware.
Mansplaining – to “explain something to a woman in a condescending or patronizing way that assumes she has no knowledge about the topic.” This term recently emerged in our lexicon, but the act of mansplaining (as well as it’s various sub-categorical definitions: manterrupting, bropropriating, hepeating, and the manalogue) has haunted women since men have been in power. In this book, I look at the dangerous effects that mansplaining has had on women and our society and ways in which men can help stop mansplaining and work toward creating a more gender equitable world.
KANDINSKY QUESTIONNAIRE In this piece, I decided to revisit the questionnaire posed by famous Russian painter - Wassily Kandinsky - back in 1923 when he taught at the Bauhaus. I have designed 3 different abstract minimalist architecture-looking illustrations (around a central shape triangle, circle, or square) each in the 3 different primary colors as asked for in his questionnaire. My goal for you as the viewer is to look at the illustrations and decide which of the 3 colors yellow, red, and blue go best - through aesthetic correspondence - with the given structure.
JJ TROUT CAMPAIGN
Combining elements of fashion and graphic trends, outdoor design, and a bold layout, this campaign design presents viewers with a fun, energetic, and youthful design that will draw attention, catch citizen’s eyes, to make JJ Trout a memorable candidate.

PEOPLEFORBIKES PLACEMAT DESIGN Working in collaboration with PeopleForBikes’ graphic designer - Alex Butterbrodt - I helped illustrate over 75% of the illustrations (from the numerous different cyclists to the Mandalay Conference Center) shown to the left to create a fun and engaging placemat that attendees of PeopleForBikes’ Interbike Breakfast could enjoy whilst talking “bikes” at one of the world’s biggest bicycle trade show.
