the way we talk about things, structures our reality.

I have always felt there is a glaring omission in the way we have been educated, and the way children are educated, inasmuch as there is no consistent teaching about how to communicate. Yes, we learn to read and write, but not how to talk with one another, particularly when there is conflict. Built into our culture and socialization process is a tendency towards polarity. Siblings have rivalry, and there are disagreements on the school playground. Generally the response to these has more to do with who was right and who was wrong, than how communication could be improved. In fact, the way we talk about things, structures our reality. If we have not learned the language of cooperation and facilitation, then we are stuck battling positions or points of view. There are a few things we need to teach children, and of course one of the best ways to teach them is to model the behaviors ourselves. We need to teach them that it is always better to try to find a solution than to fight and argue. We must give them plenty of examples of solutions so they understand how to create their own. If they hear Mom and Dad doing this in the kitchen, it will be easier for them to do it on the playground. We need to teach them that it is not helpful or nice to speak badly of others. Rather, it is wise to encourage them to see the positives in others. They should know that words have energy, and that negative comments put negative energy out into the world. We pollute the interpersonal environment when we do that. We need to teach them that if we work together, and help one another, we will all be further ahead. We do not have to be the best, the fastest, the smartest. If we are, then all the more reason to be helpful to others. Years from now, we will be remembered not so much for our accomplishments, but for how we treated others.

We need to teach them the importance of honesty and integrity—even when no one is looking. A conscience that is clear; free of guilt, remorse, or regret, not only makes us feel better, but we sleep better too. Dishonest actions or being out of integrity is not something that can be erased. Most people carry the memory of such incidents for the rest of their lives. We need to teach them the importance of forgiveness. No one is perfect. Everyone deserves a second chance. Holding grudges is like pausing a movie. You cannot move on with the story when you remain stuck on one event. We need to teach them that love is the greatest gift we have to give. They need to know that their love has the power to uplift, heal and empower others. They also need to be reminded that we each have unlimited amounts of love within us. Opening our hearts and letting the loving energy flow out to others is the best thing for maintaining physical and emotional health. We need to teach them how important it is to share. They need to know how to take turns, to let everyone play, and to give to those who are less fortunate. The whole world is our family, and we need to take care of each other. Can you imagine if we had an entire generation of children that was raised knowing these things? Imagine if all who are now adults had been raised with these principles? How different our world would be. If we really want to change our world, it might best to start with the children. The only thing is, if we want them to really get it, we have to get it first.

As I sit here and think about the month ahead of us I automatically go to what this month represents. February is known for three things that I can think of off the top of my head. Imbloc, Groundhog Day and Valentine’s Day. Well four things, but it is not a leap year, so no need to go there! Probably the most commonly thought of, is Valentine’s Day. This is the day most people dread. Either it sends them into a tizzy because they have a special person to do something special with and have to figure out what that special thing will be, or they don’t have a partner and the thought of spending the day alone is depressing. Step in the gang with this thought…. ‘You need to send out a kiss message’ KISS as in ‘keep it simple silly’ (stupid for those ok with reality). Yes, a good message indeed!

joy. Most years, Phil and I share the day with laughter, conversation and a nice dark chocolate heart. We do splurge on the chocolate heart, but that is pretty much the extent of our spending. It does not have to cost much to create a great celebration that will last longer in your memory than going all out spending hundreds of dollars. If you are alone, don’t lament the fact you are alone. Instead, celebrate the love you have for yourself. Make this day special just for you. Do you have a favorite meal you enjoy, but only on occasion? Today is the day to splurge on it! It could be quiet time, just reading a book, while enjoying some fruit, chocolates, or wine. Light a candle, purchase a single favorite flower. Anything you enjoy.

Keep this month simple. Do not over extend yourself in thoughts, actions, or stress.

This month I am sending out a KISS! And a Valentine from me to you… will you be my Valentine?

If you have a special someone in your life, give the gift of time spent with each other on Valentine’s Day. Do something fun that you both en-

Faith. A simple word filled with power and hope. Faith, say it quietly in your mind and see how powerful it is. Faith is what gives us hope when the storm is swirling around us and we are not sure if we are sinking or swimming. It gives us the incredible drive and urge to keep pushing forward no matter what is happening. I read recently this statement, " as a society we have lost faith.’ That grabbed my attention and upon reading the article I discovered it was about people being disgruntled with the dogma and laws of the church and not attending. This article also told the readers that a survey had been done and the belief in God was down substantially. It would appear, from the article that church/religion and God are not separate and you can’t have one without the other.

This got me to thinking that, years ago, many people went to church; some would walk a great distance to gather amongst fellow followers of like minds. It was about worshiping God yes, but it was also about community. This was the one day when you were amongst people within your community and could socialize, as it was also a day of rest. Just basic chores were performed on Sundays. Often there were picnics after church and families would spend a wonderful relaxing day, catching up on each other’s lives, playing games, generally sharing the day with each other. Even if you were not close to a town or church, Sunday was generally put aside for God. The church did not seem to be the attraction in those cases. Not saying they would not have gone to a church had there been one close enough, but it was not a factor.

" Where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them." I also wondered if perhaps the question was ‘do you believe in God’. Many believe in a higher power, being, or source but don’t necessarily call it " GOD" . On the other side of the coin some people, and there is nothing wrong with this, don’t believe in a higher power at all. In my experience this, however, does not diminish their hope, and I feel they still have faith. I am not convinced that society has lost " faith." I believe it is present in each of us. For me it becomes more a question about tolerance and acceptance of each other’s faith. Faith boils down to what you believe. Sure there will be some instances when we are all on the same page. I think it is safe to say we all have faith the sun will rise each day, even if it is covered by clouds we know it is there and expect it to keep rising each morning. No one questions things like the sun rising as we all know it to be true. That is the key factor to faith, each of us has faith in what we know to be true. More importantly, this means we should all have faith in ourselves. This leads me to thinking that the statement " as a society we have lost faith " becomes " society has lost their sense of what they know to be true " or " as a society we are questioning what we know to be true." I feel that is more in alignment with what is going on. We always have total faith in what we believe to be true. I honestly believe we are questioning these truths. Delving into and discerning what we know to be true can then start with a simple question does this faith belong to me or does it belong to someone else? meaning, have you been told this and then that is your experience, or have you experienced it firsthand? Religion predominately teaches if you have faith in God all will be right in your life. This kind of faith takes your power away from you and places it in the hands of someone else. This means that all your actions become a form of hoping all will be well in your world as long as God is kind to you. You are on tender hooks and tread lightly, afraid to displease the source of your faith so that you do not suffer. As soon as adversity comes along in your life and things are not going so well, you believe you have displeased this source and have to atone somehow, in order for life to get better. Faith does not start with an outside source, it starts with you. It does not have rules attached to it unless you put them there. It should be separate from church/religion. It should be how you experience this source in your life.

Your faith is given to this source. Not in order to give your power over to them in the hopes of receiving all that you want or think you deserve in return. Instead you have faith in this source that you are connected. The phrase ‘if he brings you to it, he will get you through it’ comes to me. You know on some level that together you are a team. You believe this to be true; your connection with your source is real to you. NO one else will have the same connection, and no one can tell you how your connection feels or looks. It is unique to you. Humanity is in a period of discovery. We are the Christopher Columbus’s of our lives. No longer do we wish to be told something is true and follow it blindly. We want our truths to be derived from what we have experienced firsthand, or what resonates with us. No, this is not something new but it is happening with more frequency. At the end of the day we are truly discovering faith in ourselves. I think deep down, on some level, we all believe in a higher power. It really does not matter what we choose to call this higher power, and it most certainly does not matter if my belief is the same as yours. We are examining faith like a scientist exams atoms and by doing so have a greater understanding of life. When we are secure in our faith, we are self-confident. We are more accepting of what is and are able to find solutions that are the best for all concerned. We are more tolerant of others. Life is good, and not because an outside source handed it to us, but because we know it to be true. Society has not lost faith and I don’t believe we have lost God either. I believe we have faith, it might not be placed in churches, politics, world economics or even peace on earth, for that is what is being torn down, the dogma that created those realities. But faith we have, and it will be through this faith that something better comes about. Faith is what gives us hope for a brighter future. Even if that faith is only in ourselves and the knowledge that, no matter what is put before us, we will be able to overcome it and go forward. If you have lost your faith, reclaim it, even if that means you are the only one you can put your faith in.

Despite being a very cheerful and outgoing person this Client has always felt they didn’t fit in here on earth, they have always wanted to go home, but where is home? What the Client told me in the pre-talk sounded like this was a classic volunteer (A being who has volunteered to incarnate on earth to help during this very important time). Many times these beings have never incarnated on earth before and they find it cruel and bewildering. In my practice I have seen many people searching for answers to lifelong questions in order that they may finally have some validation to these strange feelings they have always known. This person also has an advanced grasp on the concept of oneness in their day to day life. The Client doesn’t have to think it through, they know everything is connected in a way most of us find perplexing. In fact one of their complaints was that they are never sure if their thoughts are theirs or someone else’s, ‘Do I even have any thoughts of my own?’ the Client said. This was a very playful, joyful, childlike Higher Consciousness connection. Although the Client said later that they were very aware, and remembered and felt most of the session the HC (Higher Consciousness) connection was very deep and at times the HC found the questions confounding and amusing because it simply couldn’t understand the relevance of the Client’s questions. I had a lot of explaining to do! For example when I asked the HC what would be the optimal food for this person to eat the HC kept questioning food?.... Food?.... Food? It didn’t understand. I had to try to explain

what food was and it’s importance for the physical body and it took quite a while for the HC to understand this before the questions could be answered. This client didn’t seem to go to a past life; they did briefly find themselves as a young girl in a dress holding a teddy bear standing on a wet rock in the dark, but soon they noticed a very, very large bright white star in the sky. This star sent wave lengths of light that touched the little girl, making her warmer, then the Client realized they were the star and this was home. It’s so lovely to watch someone as they find home again, of course there were tears of joy. I’m always so grateful that these lost souls can connect to home in this way. As a side note, when I sent this article for the client’s approval one of the comments they made about seeing home again was this: ’ I have to say I feel so settled now that I got to go ‘home!!!’ I really needed that. I am now 100% grounded

and feel so much better. Like a hug. Nothing is more fulfilling.’

Later the Client told me that before they became the star they were the ocean (not on earth). They were the light in the ocean of a planet that this Client brought life and light to, and now on earth they perform this same function by creating ‘holes’ as the HC called it. ‘The whales are part of the soul of the earth and they have holes to breathe and help the ocean to breathe’ the HC said. The client was part of this planet’s creation- they muttered, ‘Had to have life, had to keep trying, had to figure it out!’ When they were working on this project their form was very tall, not human, a tall light being. Now this Client has come to earth to fix the ‘stupid mistakes.’ ‘People have messed it up.’ ‘Why would they mess it up?’ ‘They (The beings that messed it up) thought it was funny, amusing, but it’s not!’ In particular at this time this person is working on reducing the devastation from Fukushima. They have to open some holes in other parts of the earth and close holes in Japan, the Client was visiting Japan during the earth quake. This person has the opportunity to travel often which allows them to do the work which they were un-conscious of before the session. They are here to bring in the light by breathing and bringing light in through the ‘hole’ at the top of their head (Crown Chakra). The Client has to keep it connected to the stars and the sun. In fact we can all help the earth and stop the effects of the radiation of the ocean by breathing light in through the top of our heads (crown chakra) down through our feet into the earth to the core and back up again. The HC said if enough of us do this we can reverse the effects of the Fukashima radiation. Then the HC said that some people don’t have these ‘holes’ and they need to open them up, which is another part of this Client’s mission here, to help people understand and open their crown chakra and breathe in the

light. This and the following information about the shift resonated with me and I feel it’s meant to be shared. The HC said the earth is out of balance and needs a big shift, a big pull. It has to be strong enough so that the vibration bounces back, and when it a bounces back it will re-set it. This sounded like a huge earth quake to me but the HC said it was more of a vibrational thing, it was huge, but not a shaking of the earth so much as a vibration that would be brought forth during an eclipse. The clouds would come and there would be a big, big rain which would clean, the rivers will get big and wide and the forests greener and then you will have more oxygen, nature needs to take over. This is the shift, we’re in it now, the earth is shaking now but it hasn’t gone deep enough to the core then it can re-set. The HC’s exact explanation was- ‘The Sun and Moon combine they create and an eclipse, it goes down to the core (of the earth) the core re-sets and the vibration changes shaking the entire earth, but not shaking in the sense you think of shaking a ball, shaking in the sense of the vibrational waves that come out of the earth that will re-set it. It has to vibrate that way it’s like a hum. We need to relax and let the change occur.’ The following is a dialogue with the HC about the ‘shift:’ Me-So it’s happening right now? Client – Absolutely. Me-When will it be finished? Client- 2014. Me-What month will it be finished in? Client-September. Nature IS taking over they’re the only ones that want to listen. Me-Will this cause any destruction to the people and animals of the earth? Client- No. Me-Will we be aware of it? Client- If you have a hole in your head. Me-But the other people who don’t have holes open, will they be aware of it? Client-No. There was some physical and emotional healing done and then I brought them back. After the session the client said they were shown so much visually that helped them to understand the answers the HC had given to their questions. Me?.... Well I’m still trying to understand without the benefit of the visuals!

The spirit of the horse is recognized to be the Chinese people' s ethos – making unremitting efforts to improve themselves. It is energetic, bright, warm-hearted, intelligent and able. Ancient people liked to designate an able person as ' Qianli Ma' , a horse that covers a thousand li a day (one li equals 500 meters). Strengths People born in the year of the horse have ingenious communicating techniques and in their community they always want to be in the limelight. They are clever, kind to others, and like to join in a venture career. Although they sometimes talk too much, they are cheerful, perceptive, talented, earthy but stubborn. They like entertainment and large crowds. They are popular among friends, active at work and refuse to be reconciled to failure, although their endeavor cannot last indefinitely. Weaknesses They cannot bear too much constraint. However their interest may be only superficial and lacking real substance. They are usually impatient and hot blooded about everything other than their daily work. They are independent and rarely listen to advice. Failure may result in pessimism. They usually have strong endurance but with bad temper. Flamboyant by nature, they are wasteful since they are not good with matters of finance due to a lack of budgetary efficiency. Some of those who are born in the horse like to move in glamorous circles while pursuing high profile careers. They tend to interfere in many things and frequently fail to finish projects of their own. Did you ponder be-ing this last month? I did. I found myself in a quandary because many of the thoughts I had around be-ing seemed to involve do-ing. I seem to come back to the same spot over and over again. That is the phrase I said last month: ‘if I AM—and I am, then….’ Last year we looked at be-ing peace—and some of the obstacles that seemed to get in the way of that. So when I look at be-ing—well, it seems as though I have bitten off a very large chunk. Either that, or it’s a very small chunk that I’m making into a big chunk! I think that some of the secret is in that short phrase ‘I am.’ I AM—what? Who? And how did I be-come that which I AM? How did I be-come singer? Cook? Homemaker? Breather? Mother? Mostly I don’t think about singing, I just sing. I don’t think about breathing, I just breathe. When I am cooking, I don’t think about be-ing a cook, I just….cook. I am human be-ing… human.

It‘s true. I Am Love I am love. I Love You I love you. Until next month—Namaste!

What happens when we stress about be-ing a particular type of human? If I am constantly agonizing over whether I am singing correctly or whether I am not singing correctly, I become a person who is trying to sing. When I am just opening my mouth and allowing the sound of the music to flow, feeling that pulse and sound in my very bones and enjoying that feeling...when I AM the music...then I am be-ing singer. What happens when I try to be someone I am not? When I attempt to be-come that which other people would like me to be? This is critical when we are children and trying very hard to please our parents. Children are brilliant. We see that our parents do not like who we are when we are rambunctious and full of life….so we become neat and tidy and polite and hardly ever stir from our chairs. They, in turn, are trying to be the people they think their community/family/parents want them to be. ‘Good’ parents whose children obey them, whose children are polite and don’t fuss. Responsible. Community minded and minding their own business. If I look at it long enough, I be-come amazed that any of us have any sanity at all! Does it seem as though our entire lives are spent learning to be someone we are not in order to learn who we are? Letting go of our surroundings, losing ourselves in whatever we are doing in the moment….is that being? Carrying on our way, mindful of how we are living each that being? Can we not be? Is there any point when we are not? This month let’s practice be-ing. Whatever you are doing, see if you can pick out the moments when you are be-ing. Write down your thoughts. Sip a cup of tea and allow your thoughts to wander and ponder. Ask yourself the question ‘who am I be-ing in this moment, and write down the immediate response. See if you can be mindful during the day. Watch yourself living and be-ing. You are. I am. We are.

MIRACLE = I CLAIM ME Extracted from the forthcoming miracle of Jay Atkinson

Foreword from The Mother of All Creation Beloved creation of mine, I am so happy that you have arrived at this place – for indeed if you are reading this, you are ready to hear what I have to say to you. As the words unfold before you, you will feel me in your heart. You will also feel as if these words are speaking directly to you and are written just for you, which indeed, they are. After reading a few words, sentences or chapters, you will begin to notice a change in your vibrational frequency. You may even feel this vibrational shift as soon as you open the book. How you experience Me depends upon your proximity to Love and Kindness within you, for You! That sounds odd, doesn’t it? I ask that you fill your cup with Love from Me each day, and whatever runneth over, so to speak, is for you to freely give to others. But an empty vessel can do no good, and so that is why I express my joy and appreciation when you are True to Yourself first. In other words as the title of this book suggests, put your HEART-1ST! Feel your heart becoming lighter. Feel those wonderful zingy tingles up your spine and over your head. These are simply signs that you are

nizing in yourself another wonderful part of you that is also Me. I do not need to explain vibration or frequency to you, my beloved creation, for if you are reading this, you already know about the nuts and bolts of the Universe and will have a good grasp on how it all kind of works. This dialogue with me will help to join the dots, so to speak. Your life experience thus far will coalesce into a deeper understanding that will help you to become everincreasingly a living example of Me and my love.

I will hold you in my heart while you walk with me through my perspective on things. I know you will be changed by this experience. Above all, know that I am the Mother of All Creation and you were issued forth from the Womb of All Creation. As you become attuned to a new vibration or frequency, you will understand that MIRACLES are simple when understood.

MIRACLE = I CLAIM ME Together, we will view new and exciting vistas, and see panoramic views of life through My eyes‌ giving you a clarity of vision heretofore unexperienced. My love and appreciation for

Today I feel like I am on the cusp of something delightful. These past few weeks I have been preparing to be a guest on a telesummit with Shefali Burns of Awaken To Happiness Now. I have been immersed in technology and it has been a little challenging but highly satisfying when I finally got it! Everything that I have done up to this moment in time has prepared me for tonight. I could only see that in retrospect. I had to be patient and trust that the things that I was called to do were important for me. Any desire that bubble up in us have meaning. If they appear, they are there for a reason. Our higher self is

guiding us to the next moment and the next and the next. We get to choose. Go For The Joy is about choosing for ourselves and only for ourselves. What is meaningful for us is often not meaningful to the significant others in our lives. They may wonder why we are choosing to do that or that or that. As they wonder and perhaps express dismay we may end up folding and mutilating ourselves to fit in the box that they want us in. We can make them uncomfortable. And that is okay. Our message is to not let that influence you in your joyous choices and also don’t try to influence them in their joyous choices.

Mmmm-that can be a hard one to accept. But a being who is comfortable in themselves is also comfortable in allowing of others and their path. Sometimes their path will merge with yours and you may end up walking side by side. Sometimes it is the whole way along and other times it is merely a short sojourn into your experience. Each choice that you have made has brought you to where you are today. You choose to enter an open door or slam it shut. We would also remind you that just because you slammed it shut doesn’t mean that there won’t be another door to go through. Also and this is as important, just because you walked through doesn’t mean that you can’t turn around and go back. Free will and choice are the greatest gifts that you have within you. But what if you aren’t sure what all of this means for you. What if you are in a situation that you believe to be not of your own making? It isn’t and that can be a hard one to swallow. Trust and patience are required to understand that the larger part of you is available to help guide you. You have an internal GPS, your emotions, that will always let you know when things are going sideways. But, you frequently dismiss those feelings as being silly. You put your trust outside of yourself instead of inside where it rightfully belongs. Trust that you know what is best for you and realize that there is always another way to be. It may only be this in a moment; you choose to decide how you will feel and you respond from that feeling into another and another. You are not victims-no one is-but it can certainly feel like that. You have been taught by well meaning adults when you were young that adults knew best. No they don’t. Father doesn’t always know best unless you were one of the lucky ones who had a father who allowed you to be you, with all of your desires for adventure and trying new ways of being and doing.

You are all co-creating and in that co-creation there is perfection. There is no sense in looking backward and judging and there is much value in looking back and reflecting with love. In the love you will always see the love. You will get a sense of what it all meant. In the love is the broader perspective. The soul that is you wanted many experiences to round out the experience of being human on planet earth. Your soul did not deem one bad and one good-it is all good to your soul. It is about expansion of the energetic being that you be. How could you know goodness without contrast? How could you know love without the contrast of no love? How could you know poor without contrast of abundance? We could go on and on and we won’t. We know that you are thinking about this and some of you will have an aha moment and others it will sit inside until it is ready to be come to the surface for review. But, we want you to trust that your journey is perfect for you and you will never get it all done but you will get some of it done. Some more than others and that is perfectly perfect. There are no lost opportunities. Another will show itself to you if that is part of your plan. There are people to meet and love, people to meet and let go, money coming in and money going out. People die and are born. Ilness stikes and wellness returns. It, dear ones, is the contrast of life on planet earth and the more that you are comfortable with the contrast with no judgment, the easier it is. Then in that space you get to choose. What would love do? After all you are a MAGNIFICENT BEING OF LIGHT AND LOVE and in that there is a whole lot of wiggle room. So, dear ones, allow for all possibilities and do not judge any of them. Ask only what it means to you and let everyone else do the same. Wiggle room is provided for all. Go For The Joy Linda and The Group

Mother doesn’t always know best either unless you were one of the lucky ones whose mother loved you just because you were you. When you were little you knew what was right for you. You had a clear expression of you and what made sense to you. Unfortunately and fortunately for your journey you asked someone else to help you make sense of a situation.

Fear doesn’t arrive with a brass band, no announcement as it shadow-slinks beneath the shrub rose. One by one its guises gather, waiting like cats ready to pounce, squash my dreams. I post eviction notices, edicts from my new way of being – brave and free. Fear’s messengers still nibble

corners of my resolve; revamped and oh, so subtle in their disguise as friends. I think if I trim the roses’ lower leaves and limbs, let some light in, this secret club will be seen for what it is – free loaders hitching a ride in my energy field. Margie Kivel

Ingwaz When the Aryans first left their primeval homelands in what is now the steppes of Russia, they were engaged in constant warfare. The weather had changed and there was constant drought so they were forced to move on. A nameless horse-riding tribe, everywhere they travelled, they were ferociously opposed by the current inhabitants in their quest for a new homeland. The Vanir god, YngviFreyr looked down on these hapless migrants from his celestial vantage point in Vanaheim and decided to help them. He suddenly appeared at the head of the caravan, resembling a handsome man with a gentle but determined demeanour. He claimed to be a guide who would lead them north and west around the dangerous opposition to a fertile and unoccupied territory where they could make a fresh start. Payment for his services would only be if he could deliver on his promises but he also promised them that it would not be too taxing on them either. As he seemed to know his way around, they decided to trust and follow him. Indeed he did and thanks to his guidance, they were able to avoid the warriors of those lands and instead proceeded on their long migration in peace and security. Eventually they arrived at a cool green place that seemed most appealing. ʺHere

we are,ʺ Ygnvi-Freyr proclaimed. ʺLive and prosper! ʺ The god was true to his word, the newcomers found the soil fertile and the climate mild. They celebrated their first harvest that fall and proclaimed Ygnvi -Freyr as their king, imagining he could wish for no greater reward. ‘There is one thing more,’ he told them. ‘To venerate the gods who love us and not lose contact with their will, we must set up a holy temple on the highest hill.’ A wooden building was erected on the most prominent place according to his wishes, and was known from then on as the High Hall, still known today in Sweden as Uppsala. He instructed them in mound building, the heaping and landscaping of earthen sepulchres not only as memorials to the dead, but also to concentrate earth energies for spiritual empowerment and transcendence. After their first full year at Uppsala, Ygnvi-Freyr declared that it was more fitting that they were ruled by one of their own people, and that they needed to select a new king as he was going to step down. At his bidding, they erected a great burial mound, featuring a single entrance and three holes. He entered and bolted the door shut behind him, 24

and was never seen again. For some time his followers placed gold, silver, and copper presents in the earthwork, hoping to encourage his reappearance. When, after several years, they finally broke down the door and entered the mound, they found their gifts of precious metal, but nothing and no one else. It was then that they realized their first king had been no mortal, but a god. To honor him and bless their prosperity, they gave his name to their tribe. Henceforth, they were known as Ynglings, and sired many generations of wise monarchs who, unless reason dictated otherwise, avoided violence in the affairs of their fellow humans. Once nothing more than migrants searching for place to call home, they formed the first royal dynasty of Sweden from whom all subsequent kings were descended. When the conditions in Uppsala grew overcrowded, some sailed across the North Sea to an island on the other side of the continent. Here, as in Scandinavia, they established their kingdoms based on Yngvi-Freyr’s peaceful principles. The Ynglings put down their roots in the new land and prospered, giving it their name by which it is known today, England. During the ninth century, at the height of the ʺViking Ageʺ a skald, Hvini, composed the Ynglingatal, which sang of Uppsala' s earliest kings, how they lived and died, and where they were buried. Four hundred years later the Icelandic writer, Snorri Sturlusson based his Ygnling Saga on Hvini' s epic. It is thanks to these works that so much of the Norse world has come down to our times, a legacy set in motion by the benevolent god Yngvi-Freyr. Although he is better known today minus the Yngvi, Freyr has always been revered as the patron of increase and prosperity who dispenses peace and plenty and is invoked at weddings. His regular sacrifice was the Froeblod or Early Bleeding, a reference to the virgin bride' s broken hymen on her first night of married bliss. Froeblod was a religious play enacted at Uppsala to dramatize the interrelationship among divine, human, and agricultural fertility. Ygnvi-Freyr is recognized by three symbols: the horse; a magic boar known as Gullinbursti (Gold Bristling); and Skidbladnir, the Bright Deck, which is a ship large enough to hold all the gods, yet can be folded up and tucked in a man' s pocket. The horse identifies Yngvi- Freyr with the Ynglings in their early wanderings and all searchers compelled by necessity or misfortune to find new

ment. Gullinbursti signifies the rich harvest of golden grain that fertility engenders. Skidbladnir may now refer to a moving stage resembling a ceremonial ship upon which religious dramas such as Froeblod were performed and taken from place to place. For convenient storage, it was perhaps folded away when not in use. Yngvi-Freyr' s twin sister is Mardal-Freya, and their relationship explains the configuration of his rune, composed of twin linked crosses. The god and goddess siblings symbolize, respectively, solar and lunar energies --male and female qualities as they relate to fertility. Of all the gods, Yngvi-Freyr is most identified with the sun and its power to call forth life. He is the god of the Yule or Jule, a winter solstice festival regarded as the true New Year' s Day, when the light of the sun begins to return after the year' s longest night. Yuletide was so ingrained in Norse culture that it could not be expunged by Christian zealots, as was done in most pagan festivals. Instead, it was appropriated for Christmas Day. Pennick states that, appropriately, Yngvi-Freyr' s rune' s, now known as Ingwaz, color is yellow, like the sunlight, and points out that the god' s solar fire survives in the English word inglenook, the corner of a fireplace. This rune has no reverse, meaning there are no negative aspects. It radiates success for the finalization of plans or projects. Worries vanish and present concerns evaporate like the dew in the brightening light of a new day. Like the Ynglings wandering from their arid Caucasian homelands, ‘this rune indicates the ending of an old phase of life to give birth to a new and more exciting one.’ It implies relief arising from the satisfaction of bringing matters to a happy conclusion. With his twin sister, he shares the same place in the Norse zodiac, Thryheim, the Noisy Place, from April 21 to May 20. Yngvi-Freyr’s gemstone is ivory, from the tusk of his sacred boar, Gullinbursti.

Death is an inevitable part of our existence. Our bodies are temporary but our souls are eternal. Once our spirit has left its body, I believe that our soul returns home where we will meet up with our loved ones again. There is very little in our lives that we can control. As much as we might try to fight that, it’s true. So our choice becomes not how we are going to try to gain more control over our lives, but how we are going to embrace what comes to us. Will we cower in fear? Charge the day? Just let it be? When you lose someone you love, it can be very difficult to embrace life and continue on your journey. How do you find peace again and carry on? How about the art of letting go? There are quite a few things you can do to release the anger, sadness and emptiness you feel in order to embrace happiness once again. First, allow yourself time to grieve and everyone does it in their own way. When you are feeling sad, angry, or resentful, honour your emotions and feelings. It’s okay to cry and want to throw a pillow across the room. It’s better to let those intense emotions out in a safe way rather than stuffing them down which could have huge ramifications for you later on such as depression, anxiety, and even health problems. Second, talk to someone about it, journal frequently, and take care of yourself during your time of need. Self-love is so important during the healing process. Remember to continue to eat well, exercise and get the required amount of sleep so you can function each and every single day. At times it may be hard getting your feet out of bed. You may be wondering why you’re still here and why they had to die. You may ask ‘Why me?’ Trust me when I say it gets easier and easier as time goes by because time always heals especially when you are willing to do the work required to make your life a brighter place. When you want to remember your loved one, remember them in a positive way. Think of who they were as a person, not by their disease. Celebrate their life and all the wonderful things they did. Think of all the good times you had together. They would want you to remember them during happy times and not when they were sick and in the process of dying. Know that your deceased loved ones are still around you. They watch from above. You can still talk to them when you want to and they do hear you. They are still very much a part of your life. Just not in physical form.

Next, start visualizing your plan for the rest of your life. Your loved one would want you to embrace life after their death and move forward positively. Life is a gift so don’t waste it. Through planning and visualization you will be able to discover, address, heal, and grow beyond their death and be present in your mental and emotional essence. If they died of cancer or some other debilitating and painful disease, take comfort in knowing that their souls are now free of the limitations of their bodies. They are no longer in pain. They are no longer suffering. You can honour them by becoming an instrument of inspiration for others. Don’t let their death or disease bring you down too. Start a foundation and raise money to find a cure and to raise awareness about the disease that inflicted them so others don’t have to go through what you have. If they died under tragic circumstances or suddenly and you need some answers, see a psychic medium who can channel them. Spirit will give you the answers that you need at this time to be able to embrace life again. Life coaching is also extremely helpful when grieving death. My life coaching sessions are designed to support you in doing your inner work in a loving manner and the outer work in a supportive environment because I believe that you are worthy of your own time, energy and attention. I offer coaching one-on-one or in groups. Group coaching sessions can help you as a family to heal and grow at the deepest level. If you make the choice to heal and grow, everyone in the experience receives the healing energy. Imagine…you with other willing participants, surrounded by a loving coach and group facilitator, doing the inner and outer work required to make the world you live in a better place. The more peaceful we can be with this experience, the easier it will be for you to carry on living joyfully.

Imbloc pronounced i-molk, marks the half-way point between the Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. It is also known as Candlemas, Brigid’s Day and Groundhog’s Day and celebrates the first signs of spring. It is a time of rebirth and rejuvenation. Nature starts to show signs of awakening from winter’s slumber, early spring flowers start to emerge from the cocoon of mother earth, often peeking through the snow. Depending on where you live and what the weather conditions are like, you might see many signs that spring is on its way. Even if you don’t see signs of spring, you know it is just around the corner, giving hope that soon warmer days will appear. The sun is rising a little earlier and higher in the sky each day and to honor the return of light, light some candles and increase the amount of light in your home. Or if you would rather, just turn on all the lights in your home for an hour or so when it starts to grow dark. Another great way to welcome the returning sun is to buy some lemons and place them in a bowl where you will see them. The yellow color is always a cheerful addition to any home and

the smell is crisp and distinct, much like the awakening spring scents outside. I have also included a simple recipe for Imbolc Cake, or Lemon Poppyseed Cake. To prepare for the renewal of life, now is a good time to start your spring cleaning,. That way when the days are warmer you can be outdoors enjoying the sun. It is like ensuring a fresh start within your home as the new shoots burst forth outside. You might want to start thinking of your garden. What would you like to plant this year? Maybe you would like to rejuvenate your garden space with a few new vegetable or flower beds. Now is the time, before the snow is off the ground, to think about how your garden will grow this year. It is also an excellent time to have a review of your life. What is working for you and what do you need to clear or discard. It could be as simple as starting an exercise program to be bathing suit ready when summer comes. Or it could be more of a soul searching time to see how you can discard negative thoughts or people from your life. We are 45 days out till the Spring Equinox. Use this time to consider what darkness you wish to leave behind and what light you wish to bring into your life. Celebrate Imbolc for the rejuvenation and rebirth it can bring into your life.

Brigit is a Celtic triple-goddess, which means she represents three aspects of woman: the young virgin, the nurturing, loving mother and the crone, sage, wise woman. Brigit is a fiery goddess who tirelessly protects those who call upon her, and she’s the feminine counterpart to Archangel Michael’s warrior energy.

This Goddess is all about standing up for what you believe in! Her message is ‘Don’t Back Down’. Brigit asks us - ‘be quite clear about your intentions. If you’re unclear, then confusion will lessen your power and force. Like a candle in the dark, be very clear and bright in what is acceptable to you in all situations. Make no mistake: I will guide and protect you. And yet, think of the unparalleled rise in your own viewpoint if you are to stand up for yourself, and speak up about your needs and your deepest truth! Now is the time to touch your power, for its heat and flame will ignite your passion, which will propel you forward in countless ways. Even in the face of fear, you can still stand up for your ideals and truth. Be unwavering, and make your stand today!’ 31

Start to collect the crystals associated with your sign and keep them in a small bag you can carry in your pocket. Not all the crystals associated with your sign will resonate with you, as always keep the list for your sign handy and carry around those that do. You can choose to sit in a chair, on the floor, or you might be more comfortable laying down. Once you are comfortable, close your eyes and start by focusing on your breath, don’t worry about how, just breathe naturally. Once you are focused on your breath start to relax your body. Feel yourself allowing all stress to fall off you, starting at your head and go all the way to your toes. Once your body has relaxed, it is time to turn to your mind. Time to relax the mind, give it a time out and don’t allow any thoughts to evade this personal time. It might help to choose one or two words to repeat. This gives your mind something to focus on and you are not likely to allow any thoughts to float in. Allow yourself to sit totally relaxed, with no thoughts floating around in your mind for 10 minutes. Slowly bring yourself back to the present. Start by wiggling your fingers or toes, then slowly open your eyes. Gently move your limbs and perhaps stretch gently. There you just had a simple meditation. You can add music if that helps you to relax. You might experience dream like sequences during your meditation, make notes after, if you wish. Explore meditation if you don’t already meditate. It is a wonderful way to soothe out the day. Truly 15 minutes can make a difference in your overall well being and health.

Essential Oils– Vera Enshaw

Would you like a little more joy in your life? Winter blues got you down? Are your relationships not flowing as smoothly as you would like? Whatever you are doing and wherever you are at, JoyTM essential oil blend can help you to shift, move, change and rearrange your attitude! JoyTM is one of the first YL oils that I came into contact with. Light. A hint of citrus, of rose. A powerful, complex blend containing Bergamot (Citrus bergamia), ylang ylang (Cananga odorata), geranium (Pelargonium graveolens), coriander (Coriandrum sativum), lemon (Citrus limon), mandarin (Citrus reticulata), jasmine (Jasminum officinale), Roman chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile), palmarosa (Cymbopogon martinii), and rose (Rosa damascena). It is uplifting to the spirit and puts a smile on my face every day when I use it. I know that I am blessed to be wearing it and that it will bring the vibration, the energy of joy into my field of existence. It will also benefit everyone whom I come into contact with, whether they can smell it or not! As with all Young Living’s oils and blends, a little bit goes a long way. I put one drop on my chest, over my heart. I have put it in the bath—again, one drop. The incredible, soothing aroma has helped lift me out of the blues. Don’t get me wrong. JoyTM is not one of those relaxing oils like lavender. Nope. It has a pop and a zing to it—and that pop and zing can be soothing when one is troubled. Feeling down? JoyTM. Feeling up and want

more? JoyTM. Feeling joy and want to share it with the world...silently? JoyTM. If you want to access an intense feeling of being loved, diffuse this oil in your home. Meditations done while wearing or diffusing JoyTM help us to access love. It is as simple as that! Imagine a room full of people who are swimming in the energetic vibration of love. Then imagine what happens as they each leave the room and go on their way. Floating in that vibration, sharing it with everyone they come into contact with…. There are lots of ways to use it, to diffuse it….the main thing is: USE IT! Get Joy-Full! One caution: because of the citrus oils contained in this blend, it is best to either put it on where the sun won’t shine OR wait at least 12 hours before going out in the sun. Rune of the Month

When I drew this rune I was a bit surprised as I had already drawn it back on October so I asked my pendulum if that was the rune I was supposed to write about. Now you need to know a bit about my pendulum to understand why I consult it. We were at a fantastic book store in Vancouver called Banyan Books and Mars told me to pick out a pendulum. When I looked at all of them hanging next to each other, the one that caught my eye was the only one not moving. Instead it was pushing all the other pendulums away from it. It was showing me its power and to this day it has never let me down when I ask it a question. It is very much like an Odin cast in that they both give yes/no or black/white answers. Othala is the rune of possessions and usually means things that money can buy. Depending on the surrounding runes, it could show an inheritance, pension, or trust fund. Sometimes it could indicate one is consumed by an ideal or passion. It can also mean inherited traits. Paired with Sowilo, it signifies someone who expects to work hard to get what they want, and who is totally comfortable with that idea. If surrounded by Fehu, Berkana, Naudhiz, or Wunjo, it shows a materialist or maybe a tightwad. In the upright position it also suggests help could come from an older person or perhaps old friends. In reverse Othala shows delay and frustration. If it is in a prominent position in the cast, it could show that the difficulties are because of trying to progress too fast. In this case continuing in this fashion could permanently damage the outcome of the relationship or problem at hand.

When the rest of the cast is positive however, Othala reversed merely shows that success is still possible, just further off than you would like. Patience is then indicated and possibly more attention to detail. It can show the querent needs to stand on their own two feet and take responsibility for their actions, as they cannot expect financial help, from family or an organization. Even legal methods will not help, nor trying to ‘buck the system’ or ‘turning your problem to your advantage.’ These are all fruitless propositions while Othala is reversed. This however would only be indicated in a very negative cast. If any of you have any questions you want to ask feel free to email me through and I will try to answer them as best I can. For now, Skål my brothers and sisters

Emergence sun’s rays call, I move to the window. Plants turn and reach, cat stretches toward warmth all of us need food… starved for light after winter’s grey relentlessly obscures any nuance of change. within and without, the Source is there yet soul hungers for mother’s awakening. we stir in our cocoon ready to split open and emerge damp with newness. when the witch hazel opens its yellow spider flowers I will pluck a branch and dowse for gold… earth’s ground will heave and accept the seeds of winter’s reflections, promise of change. Message from the Angels

February 2014 As I sit with the angels on this last day of January and ask them to relay a message for all of you for February, this song floats into my mind ʺWake me up before you go-go, don’t leave me hanging on like a yo- yoʺ. It will not leave so I ask them what the message is. Blessings to all who are here with us this month, We give you this song because it is time to let go. In order to completely let go of any situation, you must first have a proper send off. Wake me up - identify the situation you are letting go of, before you go-go – Release it gently with a fond farewell. Oh, we know you think you are letting go when you decide “whatever” and “I am done” but the truth is only part of you is letting go. It is about healing the situation within your heart so you can really and truly let go of it within yourself on all levels. If you only verbally let it go, it will be hanging on like a yo-yo. Your emotions and mental state will be doing the same thing, yo-yoing, from letting go, to holding on tightly by repeating or replaying the event in your mind. Many of you have been working on letting go. It does not matter what you are letting go of, it only matters that on a level you know the time has come to let it go, and you are doing so. You got the call to let go of the situation, and after much struggle, thought, and angst in some cases, agreed that it was in your best interest. You declared “I am so over this” and started moving away from it. You

have been able to succeed after much self-talk, but seem surprised when a week or month or year goes by and it rears its ugly head again. The cost of the yo-yo effect is a toll that no one wants to pay. The anxiety alone from either the lashing you give yourself because you keep bringing it back, or from hiding from it, causes more stress than is healthy for any person. Open your heart for just a moment when you decide to let a situation go. Place it there with love and ask that it be released with love. Love towards yourself and any parties involved. Don’t be too hard on yourself if this takes some time to happen. Just gently keep working at placing it in your heart and surrounding it with love, then releasing it. Keep encouraging yourself with compassionate self-talk. As you do this, your heart light speeds up the healing and before you know it, you really will have let the situation go. When you let go of anything that is bothering you using your heart light, the anxiety slips away peacefully. You are able to relax and release the habit of worrying and gain the habit of trust. Difficulties and fear are replaced with serenity and love. Call on us to help you ʺwake me up before you gogoʺ, we will instantly be at your side guiding you to the freedom you desire. The Angels

get unstuck discover new possibilities see new perspectives go off tangent wander for a bit meander, mentally take a break let your mind unravel and relax give yourself headspace to roam to play, to breathe new life into those things that perplex, puzzle and stress take a different route you might just find a much better way home bt 1.31.2014
