I am a full-time architecture student at the University of Carthage (School of architecture and urbanism in Tunis ), and currently, I am in my 5th year, working on my thesis. My experience during the last 4 years, as an architecture student, has proven to me that being an architect is not only about buildings and creativity, but it goes further to being updated and aware about the new technlogy, climate change and public health,and how to adapt all the previous parametres according to the needs of cultures.

OULED SOLTANE: A BURIED LIFESTYLE

For this exercise, we tried to collaborate with associations to end up with an architectural project that respond to the association’s goals and perspective.My choice was to work on the vanishing Amazigh heritage in the south of Tunisia. For this topic, I collaborated with the association ARCs solidali that works on the valorization of theAmazigh heritage through its integration in the economy of the area .

For the national reading competition held in Rades every year, the association of «Ruaat Sammama» organized a competition to design the entrance the competition’s hallusing «The halfa» and reed (vegetation known for the mountain of Sammama). For this occasion, I worked with my classmate Kima Davy.

THE HIDDEN

«Jaipur—UncoveringThe Hidden Gem of North India « has become my theme that guides me to the outcomes I gained. Besides referring the ‘Hidden Gem’ to the walled city of Jaipur , the phrase I addressed also represents the tangibleandtheintangibleculturalheritagetreasuresinthisancientcity.Thisexploration throughout the study helps me to be enlightened on the great history that was dimmed from the eye of the world. In promoting awareness on the need for conservation, I discovered the precious relics with the hope I can unveil the hidden gem to provide better sights for the global community.
