UNIQUE YOUTH
September saw our students exploring the world of rhythm, with both drum kits and and a variety of melodic instruments taking center stage. The focus was on understanding how each instrument contributes to the foundation of music.
We were fortunate to receive a visit from none other than Tim Talavera! He tutored several youth in bass guitar, learning how to hold the instrument, pluck strings, and play simple bass lines, all while understanding its crucial role in setting the rhythm and harmony.
No “I” in Band
Fostering teamwork and synergy, small group sessions encouraged students to practice together, learning the importance of listening and collaborating to create a unified sound. Over time youth get familiar with each others timing and playstyle.
Can’t Forget Fun
Clubhouse 14 is always putting together events to help the youth enjoy their time as much as possible. Youth played games, had food and even a bouncy house! Things like this keep youth excited about coming to the club.
