During this difficult time for so many, we would like to highlight the wonderful work that our staff and members are doing to help others in our community. So many of our members are donating their time, making financial contributions and showing empathy toward others and are all important ways to help! Stay strong and thank you!!! Chef Jerry Bourkney provided meals, twice this month, for the very hard working staff at White Plains Emergency Department. They were so appreciative of the delicious sandwiches, brownies and cookies. Molly Howson has raised over $60,000 and purchased and distributed more than 11,000 pieces of personal protective equipment (masks, gloves, face shields, goggles, disposable hazmat suits and hand sanitizer) to first responders and front-line workers. Recipients have included over 15 hospitals and nursing homes in New York City, Westchester County and Connecticut. In addition, local EMT, Fire Houses and Police Departments have received supplies. They feed over 10,000 of Westchester’s neediest on a weekly basis. During this challenging time, the need for food support is greater than ever. Laura was inspired by her sister Pam Murphy (Coveleigh member) who is a nurse at White Plains ER to create these impactful videos to support her and many others!
