Algunos piensan que la historia es algo que no se puede cambiar. Pero, no le digas eso a una mujer determinada! Pues aunque la historia es parte de los eventos del pasado, sus efectos se pueden sentir en nuestro presente y muchas peor pueden continuar afectando nuestro futuro, si no nos atrevemos a confrontarlos.

El hecho de que hayas vivido una niñez en escases o que hayas sido víctima de estereotipos limitantes no tiene que afectar tus posibilidades actuales para llegar a ser una mujer exitosa. Por el contrario, situaciones como esta, han sido los principales propulsores para que muchas personas se hayan atrevido a retar los mismos y demostrar que se puede cambiar a pesar de las circunstancias.

Y es precisamente a eso a lo que me refiero con cambiar la historia. Tú y yo podemos pararnos firmes frente a toda adversidad, detener los efectos de un pasado limitante y retar todo lo que quiera impedir que utilicemos la misma como la excusa perfecta para escapar de donde estamos hacia donde queremos llegar.

Pero cambiar la historia tiene una implicación más abarcadora que va más allá de nosotras mismas. Suena grande y realmente lo es, porque aunque no todas hemos sido llamadas a transformar el mundo, todas podemos hacer algo para impactar positivamente la vida de nuestras familias, de nuestros círculos de influencia y de nuestra Comunidad; y con ello globalizar nuestras mentes y ser parte del cambio que este mundo necesita. Pero para llegar al mundo e influenciar a otros, necesitamos comenzar primero con nosotras mismas, y esto conlleva el enfrentar con valentía ese pasado paralizante y sus secuelas, que no te ha dejado avanzar hacia tu lugar de destino.

Estas mujeres llamadas a cambiar la historia, son mujeres que se distinguen entre las demás, cargan con una fuerza interior que las hace sobresalir aun en medio de una multitud, en sus ojos se refleja la pasión que tienen por lo que creen y quieren en la vida. Son mujeres definidas en su misión de aportar valor al mundo que las rodea y no les tienen miedo a las críticas ni mucho menos a ser rechazadas por pensar diferente a los demás, y se atreven retar la norma establecida ‘status quo’.
