BOROUGH COUNCILLOR REPORT
They would like to thank the main sponsors, the Trustees of the Edith Murphy Foundation and the Florence Turner Trust, the numerous local businesses that placed adverts in the Gala programme, all of our stallholders, who paid for their stall spaces, the fairground operators, Tony O’Reilly Ices and Birstall Village Cricket Club who donate a pre-agreed sum for their services over the weekend, the Saturday bands who perform for free and the Sunday bands who help to create the build up to the ‘Proms in the Park’ event in the evening. This year a particular thank you goes to the Co-op Food Store in Birstall for donating all of the food for the refreshments served by staff and volunteers of Age UK Ltd in the Day Centre.
