Weekly Announcements: ACT Prep classes will begin on Tuesday, September 2. If you‟re interested in attending see Nate Banzhoff in the Planetarium. Students and teachers experienced frustration last week as Google Drive continued to crash. Internet administrators are working to fix the problem; however, nothing has been revolved to date. The boys Varsity soccer team will be selling raffle tickets at the next few football games. Support the soccer program by buying Tremont meeting will take place Tuesday, September 2. ACT Test will take place on Saturday, September 13 at the high school.

The Field Report: The Varsity football team fell short to the Mustangs last Thursday making their record 0-1. The boys play Purcell Marian High School this Friday at 7 p.m.

As Friday, September 5 approaches, seniors are making spirit shirts, the band is preparing pep tunes, and our school principal, Brad Winterod is getting ready to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

Winterod offered the deal on August 21 and by August 23, Ritenour had received the required amount of retweets, plus a pretty fair amount of favorites as well. He wanted his friends to know how it felt, so he challenged them to the “cold water challenge”, which is now called the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. This isn‟t just a challenge to „know how it feels‟, but a fundraiser for the ALS foundation. The efforts have raised over $100 million.

The Freshman football team falls short to Batavia with a score of 16-14. Golf team picked up first win in two years. The Cross Country team hosts first home meet in 30 years. Lady Indians soccer hold a current record of 1-2 for the season. Boys‟ soccer holds a current record of 3-0 leaving them undefeated for the season so far. Lady Indians volleyball holds a record of 2 -2 as of August 19.

With the pep rally coming up next week, students seem excited about it. The student body and staff will enjoy a laugh while the football team goes out to compete for the Mayor‟s Cup once again. Just one question; who will Winterod nominate to complete it next?
