The Health Education Center is geographically centered in the Northwood Tech District in Shell Lake. This allows students from all four campuses to access the latest innovative equipment and simulation experiences to build confidence in their skills. Why wait?

Earn college credits while still in high school and get a head start on your future. high school counselor to find the best way to save time and money once you are in college.

Start College in High School

You can earn college credit through transcripted credit, Start College Now, or youth apprenticeship coursework while in high school.

Transcripted Credit

Northwood Tech courses are taught in high schools by certified high school instructors using 100% of the college’s competencies and grading policies.

College credits are awarded and recorded on a technical college transcript upon successful completion of the course.

Start College Now

Attend Northwood Technical College either full-time or part-time and earn both high school and technical college credits. Public high school students who have completed 10th grade are eligible.*

Northwood Tech scholarships are awarded to students who have the initiative, desire, and potential to succeed and are not limited to students with financial need. There are also numerous external scholarships available with varying deadlines. Check our website for opportunities.

College Tuition Assistance for Area High School Graduates

The Northwood Tech Promise Scholarship, funded by the Northwood Tech Foundation, provides college tuition for area high school graduates who meet program eligibility requirements.

Emergency Assistance

Students in crisis receive support as loans, grants, nutrition, and gas cards through donations to Northwood Tech Foundation.

Activities like Student Senate and program-related clubs connect you to your classmates and provide excellent leadership and service-learning opportunities. With our Campus Activities Boards, there are plenty of on-campus entertainment events and activities to enjoy, such as comedians, motivational speakers, games, and projects.

Student Housing

Get the complete college experience while attending classes at the Superior or Ashland campuses by taking advantage of the UW-Superior or Northland College residence halls. Live the full college lifestyle with meal plans, intramurals and more. Other student housing is available near all campuses. Information can be found in local papers and community and online boards.
