The annual Young Performers Day features middle and high school wind, percussion, drum majors, color guard, rifle, dance line, and baton twirlers in a massed-band setting with the Spirit of Northwestern Marching Band. Directors are invited to join in on the fun and bring their students as a group or have students sign up individually.

You may pay the $30 registration/student fee via credit card using the site above or by sending a check to: Northwestern State University Bands 140 Central Avenue Natchitoches, LA 71497
Check, cash, and credit card may be used on the day of the event.
Students will be given a performance t-shirt for the event. Other than that, students may wear pants or shorts as directed by the weather All students should have athletic shoes appropriate for the football turf.
8:30 a.m. Registration at the CAPA Building (see map, next page)
9:30 a.m. Meeting in Magale Recital Hall (same building as registration)
10:00 a.m. Music rehearsal
11:30 a.m. Lunch provided for student participants (Iberville)
1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Rehearsal (in stadium)
3:30 - 4:30 p.m. T-Shirts distributed and Break
5:00 p.m. Line up and march to Turpin Stadium
5:10 p.m. Step-off
6:00 p.m. NSU vs. Prairie View A&M
~7:30 p.m. Half-time performance (participants are excused after the half-time performance but are encouraged to stay for the duration)
Student participants will be admitted to the game as part of the $30 registration. Parents, friends, and family who wish to attend the game must purchase a ticket to the game. Discounted tickets can be purchased at the NSU band room for $10 on the day of the event.
Music will be sent to all student participants using the email address provided on your registration.
From Interstate 49, head east on University Parkway, LA-6.
Turn right onto Central Avenue
