Our wedding vision was country/rustic, a perfect reflection of who we are. At first, we weren’t sure what to expect when looking at venues, but we knew we wanted something warm, inviting, and naturally beautiful. We visited a few locations, but the moment we arrived at The Hidden Vineyard, it felt like home. The rolling vineyards, breathtaking views, and charming barn created the perfect backdrop for our special day. The barn itself was stunning—a perfect blend of country charm and classic elegance—and we could already picture ourselves celebrating with our closest friends and family in that magical space.
From the moment we walked in, we knew it was the one. The natural wood, twinkling lights, and rustic touches created an atmosphere that was both romantic and timeless. It was truly picture-perfect.
DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING DAY
Our wedding day was nothing short of magical. It was filled with so much love, laughter, and support from our family and friends who traveled from near and far to celebrate with us. Seeing all of our loved ones together, sharing in the joy of our union, made it even more special.
One of the most meaningful parts of the day was having our four beautiful children by our side. We weren’t just celebrating a marriage; we were blending our families and creating a new chapter together. Standing at the altar, surrounded by those we love most, we felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude and happiness.
Everything came together so perfectly—the warm glow of the barn lights, the soft breeze through the vineyard, and the laughter that filled the air. It was a day we will cherish forever, a day we wish we could relive over and over again.
ADVICE TO ENGAGED COUPLES
If we could give one piece of advice to engaged couples, it would be this: Don't sweat the small stuff. It’s so easy to get caught up in the tiny details, but at the end of the day, what truly matters is the love you share and the memories you create.
Enjoy every moment of the planning process, even the unexpected twists and turns. Take time to soak it all in—the anticipation, the excitement, and the little moments that make it all so special. It all goes by in the blink of an eye, so cherish every second together.

Our vision for our wedding was to keep things simple, timeless, and meaningful. We wanted the day to be a celebration of our love—shared with the people who matter most—without feeling overwhelming or consumed by too many details. Instead, we focused on creating an atmosphere that was intimate, joyful, and full of love.
For us, it wasn’t just about the wedding day itself; it was about honoring the journey that led us there and embracing the exciting new chapter ahead. More than anything, we wanted a day that reflected who we are as a couple—a day that felt natural, effortless, and truly special.
DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING DAY
Our wedding day was a surreal, once-in-alifetime experience—one we had dreamed of for so long, yet it felt like it passed in the blink of an eye. The overwhelming love and support from our friends and family made it all the more special.
Like any wedding, not everything went exactly as planned—things never do! But one of the best pieces of advice we received was to embrace the unexpected. That mindset helped us roll with the little mishaps, like the fire alarm going off before the ceremony or guests standing longer than expected because they weren’t told to sit. In the end,
those unexpected moments became some of our favorite memories.
Through it all, we laughed, we felt incredibly loved, and we soaked in every second of the celebration. It was perfect in its own imperfect way, and we wouldn’t change a thing.
ADVICE TO ENGAGED COUPLES
Take a deep breath, relax, and have fun! Wedding planning can be a whirlwind of details—fabric swatches, table settings, floral arrangements—but don’t lose sight of what truly matters. At the end of the day, you’re marrying the person you love more than anything, and that’s what it’s all about.
Things won’t always go perfectly, but the only thing that should truly overwhelm you is the love and excitement of starting this new chapter together.

If you’re anything like us, you’re likely swooning over the new movie release of the iconic Broadway musical Wicked. We couldn’t resist the idea of having a little fun with this and doing a themed stylized shoot inspired by the show, with a modern twist.
The Palais Royale in South Bend was the absolute perfect setting for this photoshoot. With its rich history of hosting Wicked performances at the Morris Performing Arts Center, it was only fitting to bring our vision to life here. With over 8,000 square feet of space, soaring 35-foot ceilings, intricate designs, crystal chandeliers, and a stage that could host a live band, this venue truly takes your breath away. Did you know it’s one of only two theater/ ballroom combinations left in the United States?

Top Knot Bridal worked their magic with the models' hair. Peyton’s effortless half-up, loose-curl look was classic and romantic, topped off with a delicate crown. Jenna’s hair was similar, but with a dramatic emerald green bow and a chic braid, perfectly reflecting Elphaba’s bold style.
Makeup
Merle Norman created a stunning makeup look for both models. Jenna’s dramatic smoky eye and bold berry lip were perfectly complemented by a subtle hint of green in the eyeshadow. Peyton’s makeup was fresh and radiant, with soft pink blush highlighting her cheekbones, a nude lip, and a clean, soft eyeshadow look that exuded timeless beauty.

As always, Burns Special Events nailed it with their impeccable event planning and design skills, particularly when it comes to weddings. This full-service event company offers everything from wedding and event planning to day-of coordination, floral design, and rentals—ensuring every detail is taken care of.
The florals used in this shoot were nothing short of dreamy: mojito hydrangea, pink O’Hara roses, pink carnations, pink Majolica spray roses, butterfly ranunculus, green cymbidium orchids, Italian ruscus, huckleberry, pittosporum, salal, and plumosa.

We designed separate tablescapes and lounge areas for each, giving them a chance to shine while still complementing one another. Glinda’s sweetheart table exuded lightness and elegance, with soft pinks and gold accents pairing perfectly with the deep green chair to subtly nod to Elphaba. Meanwhile, Elphaba’s tablescape embraced a darker, moodier vibe with dark green and gold elements, creating a more dramatic ambiance. Burns Special Events thoughtfully incorporated Glinda’s signature pink florals throughout her design, adding a harmonious touch.

We selected venues that complemented our neutral color palette and provided indoor options for the unpredictable late August weather. Every detail was intentionally chosen to reflect our personalities, both as individuals and as a couple.
For the floral arrangements and table settings, we embraced a minimal yet refined aesthetic, incorporating black, white, crème, and lush greenery to create a classic yet modern ambiance. More than anything, we wanted our friends and family to have an unforgettable experience, so creating a warm, inviting atmosphere was just as important as achieving the right level of elegance. From heartfelt moments to a packed dance floor, our wedding was a celebration of love, style, and joy—one that felt uniquely us.

Our wedding day was nothing short of amazing. The morning started with the bride and bridesmaids getting ready in a hotel suite, sharing stories and laughter, while the groomsmen kicked off the day with a relaxed brunch.
Our first look took place overlooking Indianapolis, the city where we first met—one of the most special moments of the day. Afterward, we gathered for bridal party photos, with everyone dressed in black suits and gowns, enhancing the timeless elegance we envisioned.
The ceremony took place beneath the grand atrium of the Indiana Statehouse, with a string duet playing our favorite songs, creating an unforgettable and magical atmosphere.
Stepping into our reception venue for the first time was breathtaking. Seeing it fully set up, complete with elegant florals, candlelight, and a polished dinner service, made it feel like a gala. The venue took care of everything—coordinators, waitstaff, DJ, and bar service—allowing us to fully enjoy every moment.
From heartfelt speeches to a dance floor filled with our closest friends and family, it was truly a night to remember. The energy was electric, and we celebrated into the night, especially when I got to kick off the dance party with my NFL Cheerleader friends! It was everything we dreamed of and more.
ADVICE TO ENGAGED COUPLES
Make decisions together and lean into each other’s strengths. My husband was passionate about the music, so he worked closely with the DJ. I had a clear vision for the color scheme and decor, so I took the lead on those choices. Wedding planning is about balance, teamwork, and celebrating what makes you stronger as a couple.
Also, don’t rush the engagement phase—we were engaged for over a year and a half, and we’re so grateful we took the time to enjoy it. The wedding day will come and go, but the moments leading up to it are just as special.
Finally, take the time off before the wedding that you need! Planning from out of state meant we needed those last few days to finalize details, reduce stress, and truly enjoy the lead-up to our big day. Those extra days made everything feel more relaxed, intentional, and memorable.

The dance floor stayed packed as we celebrated into the night, surrounded by the love of those who mean the most to us. Every moment was flawless, every detail unforgettable—it was a day straight out of our dreams..
