26.0+ Stroll around the Two Harbors waterfront and take the breakwater to the light station. Continue to Burlington Bay via the paved Sonju Trail.

36.6 Hike to the top of Wolf Rock, a half-mile one-way for a fabulous view of Lake Superior and the Crow Creek Valley. Turn onto Lake County 106 and drive 2.4 miles to the trailhead.

38.9 Take the paved, accessible loop at Gooseberry Falls State Park. From the visitor center take the paved trail to the pedestrian bridge over Gooseberry River for a great view of Upper Falls. Continue the loop via the Gitchi Gami State Trail back to the visitor Center.

58.5+ See the view from Shovel Point at Tettegouche State Park. Hike the clifftops of Lake Superior for panoramic views of the rugged shoreline. Park at the visitor center and take the 2.5 mile round trip.

59.4+ Get off the beaten path and hike the trails at Crosby Manitou State Park. Take a loop around Benson Lake, or a route along the Manitou River. 14 Miles from Hwy 61, near Finland, and worth the drive!

70.7 This quick half-mile hike takes you to the lovely Caribou Falls.

Sugarloaf Cove Nature Center offers an easy one-mile interpretive hiking trail. Wind through the forest, past historical sites, and along a beautiful cobblestone beach on Lake Superior.

83.4 Hike the quick, steep trail to Britton Peak or take the 3.4 mile round-trip hike to the top of Carlton Peak. Trailheads are 2.5 miles north on the Sawbill Trail. Take the Superior Hiking Trail

86.1+ The Oberg Mountain loop is a fall favorite. Hike around the top of Oberg Mountain for outstanding overlooks of Lake Superior and the Superior National Forest. Take the Onion River Road 2.8 miles to the trailhead.

104.0 Park at Cutface Creek and walk or bike the new section of the Gitchi-Gami State Trail. Lake views all the way to Grand Marais and past the Fall River Falls. Parking lot open seasonally.

110.1+ (Gunflint Trail mile 54.2) Explore the interpretive hiking trails on 50 acres surrounding several Saganaga Lake bays at the Chik-Wauk Nature Center. ADA accessible trails and latrines are available.

119.0 Walk the ridge along the the Kadunce River on the Superior Hiking Trail. It’s a 2-mile one-way hike to Blueberry Overlook. Or, hike along the river and return.

The steep, difficult hike to the top of Mt. Josephine rewards you with an outstanding Lake Superior vista! Turn right on Townsite Rd. for 0.6 miles, then left on Upper Road for 0.7 miles, to a small parking area on the left. Trail starts by heading northeast along an old road bed.

150.7 The paved, accessible path and boardwalk to the High Falls at Grand Portage State Park, the tallest waterfall in Minnesota!
