Rec Center schedules “My VIP and Me Dance” for February 11th

The 5th Annual Boardman Park & Recreation Districts

“My VIP and Me Dance” is here!

On February 11th , local youth are encouraged to invite the adult VIP in their life to a magical night of dancing, games, crafts, unlimited photo booth photos, giveaways, and more!

The theme this year is Enchanted Forest so dress in your most magical outfit and let your imagination run wild!

Tickets cost $35/per couple and $15 for each additional ticket. Tickets can be purchased at the Boardman Pool and Recreation Center or by going online to: teamsideline.com/ boardmanor

The public is encouraged to pre-purchase their tickets and avoid the line at the door!

Heppner’s annual St. Patrick’s Wee Bit O’

Ireland Weekend is coming March 17-19 th: row County Heritage and Agricultural Museums ; CEILI will be held from 2-4 p.m.; along with several local fundraisers will be found set up downtown. Saturday night will be full of great entertainment:

Put on your green hats, jewelry and clothing and get ready to have some good old “Wee Bit O’ Ireland” fun, starting on Friday, March 17th with St. Patty’s Vendors Market from 10-5 and the Murray’s Annual Beer & Wine Tasting with DJ Dan Burns from 7pm-11pm. Saturday, March 18th will start the weekend event with St. Patty’s Vendors Market, O’Brunch served by Heppner Christian Church from 8am-12pm. If you are up for a Remembrance Walk and 5K Run, you will find that too! There will be “Cruz-In” car show, and an opportunity to take part in the “Welly Toss”; Irish Coffee Hour from 10-11:30 a.m.; gold nugget treasure hunt for you to find and win some great prizes; Leprechaun Run for those children in grades K-6 and Team Relay Races – Bed and O’Planky Races down Main Street, before the Great Green Parade which is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. Following the parade there will be other activities; make sure to visit the Mor-

“The Blue Mountain Old Time Fiddlers” will be performing at the Fairgrounds Dance Hall, starting at 6:30 p.m.; and

“Tiller’s Folly” will be performing starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Gilliam and Bisbee Building. The weekend will wrap up with Sunday brunch at Gateway Café and Road Bowling, starting at 1p.m., with registration at 12:45 p.m. and will be held out at Balm Fork Road as in the past. So if you haven’t put your team together, you still have time!
