April 1st marks a milestone for Boardman-based Mid Columbia Title Company --they have been in business for twenty years! Founder Renee’ Grace started her title and escrow experience in 1985 when she started working for Homestead Title in Hermiston. “I loved the business, and tried to learn everything I could about it as soon as possible,” she says. That led to Renee’ having a title plant built so she could issue title insurance policies for Morrow County, and she opened for business April 1st, 1994 in the previous City Hall building. Mid Columbia Title soon outgrew that office, and they moved to 205 NE Boardman Avenue, next to Umatilla Electric Cooperative in 1997, where they remain today.
Renee’ Grace moved to Boardman in 1984 when she and her husband, John were married. Renee’ had previous experience in the banking industry. The couple has two sons, John Michael, age 23 and Tyler age 18. In 2003, Escrow Officer Krista Price became a stockholder and part owner of Mid Columbia Title Co. Krista handles all residential, commercial, farmland, 1031 Exchanges and a vast variety of escrows. She is well respected in the industry. Krista two children, Ashley age 12 and Corbin, 9. The third member of the expert team is Michelle Seeley, who has worked for Mid Columbia Title off and on since 2001. Michelle is training for the title position and has escrow experience as well. Michelle
is married to Ryan, and has a two year old son, Cole. The company provides timely and accurate title searches, friendly and knowledgable escrow closing and has Spanish translation interpreters upon request. “We can travel to your home or office for a more convenient closing,” adds Renee’. With their vast experience, the company is licensed to handle title insurance for all of Morrow County. However, they can provide escrow closing for any property located in the state of Oregon.
