Boardman Buzzzzzzzz Frostbite Golf Tournament. If the weather forecast is correct it looks like we should have a beautiful day for golf. The first two tournaments I have done here in Boardman the weather didn’t cooperate, so I’m looking forward to having nice weather! The Chamber has been keeping really busy. In March we finalized the Visitor Guide/Membership Directory and sent it to the printer, they should be ready for distribution the first week of April. Three
of us from the Chamber attended a conference in Coeur d’Alene for the Northwest Chamber Leaders. It was a great conference and we brought home a lot of ideas. In April I will have the opportunity to represent Boardman at the Governor’s Conference on Tourism in Bend. We will be showcasing our new slogan, Boardman – Oregon’s Other Coastline, but giving each conference attendee a wristband. Hopefully that will entice people to stop in Boardman and check out

WOW — That just sums up the annual Frostbite Golf Tournament! The weather was perfect, the course was beautiful, the players motivated and the committee dedicated! Dean Kegler, Angie Hughes, Mike Nunez and Michelle Erickson make up the committee for this event and they did a fantastic job. The Calcutta turned out to be a great event. Special thanks to Dean and Art Kegler for making this such a success. Art was a great auctioneer and the winners of the Calcutta enjoyed having the winning teams! The putting contests were great, the golfers didn’t have much luck getting the whiffle ball in the basket! But it didn’t seem to slow them down on Saturday.
