P.C. Café Annual“Light a Candle” Campaign Underway

Submitted by Mary Clapham, Administrator, Meals on Wheels Putnam County, PC Café and Resource Center Join with us at P.C. Café and Resource Center this holiday season to bring the gift of love to the elderly homebound in Putnam County. Your tax deductible donation will provide food for the homebound in our county. Last year we served over 33,000 meals to those homebound. Our “Light a Candle’ campaign has helped secure

those meals. You may make your donation in Memory of or in Honor of a loved one. You may send your donation to the P.C. Café at 116 South 17th Unionville, Mo. 63565. We will send you a receipt for tax purposes. Thank you for being a part of what I believe is the heart of why we are here, to serve others. May the Lord richly bless you this holiday season and throughout your New Year.

Grab Some History to Go

An early morning fire on Thursday, November 30, fully engulfed the Unionville Print Shop owned by Pete and Lisa Schmidt. The Unionville Fire Department fought the print shop fire from both the ground and the air. Notice the sun dimly seen through the thick black smoke pouring from the building in the middle picture. The Unionville Fire Department and other emergency services were on the scene until early afternoon.

Looking to know more about the history of our county? The PC Museum and The Unionville Republican office have available the latest museum commemorative issue for $5. If you missed the first two editions, all three can be purchased for $10. Revenue from the sales go to support the museum’s mission of preserving our history.
