Brian Weiland be sure I understood the material. They also checked in with me to make sure I was staying on track. At the time, I think I mostly found this annoying; however, today I realize these small moments were pivotal to help me believe in myself and feel valued. I would have been left WAY behind if it wasn’t for their care for me. The teachers and staff at Northland took the time to treat me as the precious child of God that I am. I strongly believe that it was this attention and treatment, along with the support of my family and friends (especially my wife), that helped motivate me to pursue things that I don’t think I otherwise would have believed that I could. I have hopes of giving back through the skills I have Teachers and staff learned over the years, by being available to counsel NLHS students should they need took the time to it, teaching a psychology mini-course treat me as the (which I have done and went very well!), precious child of and helping teachers and students better understand how to manage psychological God that I am. issues during adolescence. Jess and I still attend NLHS sporting events from time to time because of the forever family we have there. We hope that our little Belle will one day have the same experience we did at Northland. I couldn’t be more proud to be a graduate of Northland Lutheran High School, and I thank God for the time I spent there.

Brian stops by News Channel 7 on a regular basis for their “Relationship Restart” series. So far, he has covered topics including talking politics, pet names, and keeping the love alive. 5
