WELCOME TO NORTHERN SKY THEATER
Welcome to another summer and fall season at Northern Sky! This year, we bring you four laugh-out-loud comedies. Three shows are tried-and-true fan favorites, and the fourth is this summer’s world premiere by Matt Zembrowski. Matt is an author we couldn’t be prouder of. He grew up camping in the park and coming to our shows. He aspired to write for our stage, and Something in the Water will be his fourth show for us. How cool is that? A childhood super-fan becomes a composer and playwright. What’s even more amazing is that he’s not the only one. We continue to inspire young artists that grow up to become cherished collaborators. This is just one of the many ways Northern Sky is unique and unlike any other theater experience. We create each new show from scratch especially for you; and the kid sitting next to you in the audience just might become the author of a future world premiere.
In addition to Matt’s dynamite new show, in the summer season we’re bringing back Dairy Heirs, a family farming moo-sical, and No Bones About It, a tale of char-crossed lovers. Finally, in fall we’ll celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Bachelors! A perfect show for the Gould, The Bachelors is the collaboration between Fred Alley and Jimmy Kaplan that followed Guys on Ice. Directed by Jeff Herbst, you won’t want to miss it. We won’t have a show running indoors this summer; instead, we’ll be busy in the Gould developing new works in the pipeline. We’ll have three workshops and numerous readings this season as we keep a dozen new titles in development for you for future seasons. Because that’s why we’re here: to write and create for you. Bringing you stories that matter to you, that you can see yourself in, that allow recognition and joy and deep-bellied laughter--it’s what we’re most proud of. We hope you’ll sing the songs and retell the jokes on the ride home, making memories that endure, because your family had a visit with us under the northern sky.
Thank you for coming, and enjoy the show!
Molly Rhode Holly Feldman Artistic Director Managing Director
Northern Sky Theater acknowledges that the land we now call Northeast Wisconsin was nurtured and revered for centuries by Native Peoples, including the Three Fires Council of Anishinaabeg (Ojibwe), Nishnaabe (Odawa), and Bodéwademik (Potawatomi) Nations as well as the Ho-chungra (Ho Chunk), Meskwaki (Fox), Oneyoteaka (Oneida), Omaeqnomenew-ahkew (Menominee), Thâkîwaki (Sauk), and Waⁿdá (Wyandotte) Nations. May we honor their legacy with respect and gratitude.
Every community is indebted to those who have poured their hopes, dreams, and energy into creating a better life. Whether rooted deeply in the land for many generations, coming from other homelands, or forcibly translocated, all enrich our intertwined world. In alignment with Northern Sky Theater’s mission to promote cultural appreciation, we commit to cultivating an informed artistic environment that honors and respects those who shaped our path and continue to influence our community.

MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR OF THE BOARD
An Ode to the Songwriters
In times gone by my brother and I did come to the shows in Pen Park
To see silly stories and Simple Joys, with our parents we sat in the dark. Home again to the campsite we sang, the songs that we had just heard What makes a song so catchy it sticks –is it the tune or is it the word?
Imagine the debate around the campfire our songwriters would wage Wordsmiths Hudson and Alley tossing wiseacre puns at the page
Kaplan and Libman flinging four-part harmonies and banjos in spurts
And when those words and those notes collide, the result is, well -Fireworks!
I see A light through yonder window, where the songwriters are busy rhyming
Conjuring Inspiration and matching the key to just the exact right timing. Everything’s got to be perfect, if it’s The last thing that I do, says Zembrowski
You need to Grow a Pear and eat The Big Cheese, advise Rhode and Kopischke.
There’s nothing like Verona, where we grew up, tho we never did make it to RibFest
We had Countdowns to when we would cruise 42 where adventures were always the best
The camper loaded with bikes and marshmallows, nothing was Left Behind
Those sweet joyful sounds of Northern Sky nights are never far from my mind.
On the benches this summer there we’ll be, three generations of our family
And of course I will make No bones about it -There’s no place that I’d rather be!
And last but not least, the Finale!

MOLLY RHODE
Artistic Director / Director / Co-Director / Performer
Molly joined Northern Sky as an actor in 2007, directed her first new work in Pen Park in 2013, and joined the staff as Associate Artistic Director in 2014. She is honored to now take on the role of Artistic Director from best boss in the world, Jeff Herbst. This season Molly is directing Something in the Water, co-directing and performing in Dairy Heirs, and coordinating readings and workshops for a dozen new shows in development. She is honored to work closely with so many extraordinary authors. Molly also works regularly with theaters in Milwaukee and Madison. This past winter she appeared in Lumberjacks in Love at Milwaukee Rep, directed Every Brilliant Thing at Milwaukee Chamber Theater, and directed Sister Act at Skylight Music Theater. Molly represents Northern Sky on the leadership team of World Premiere Wisconsin, a statewide collaboration that celebrates new plays and musicals, holding its second festival in 2026! Wisconsin has a truly special theater ecosystem. Thank you, Northern Sky patrons, for always believing in new work. We make these shows for you.
Northern Sky’s Commitment to IDEAS
The arts belong to EVERYBODY.
The artists, board and staff members of Northern Sky celebrate our common humanity and equality.
We are committed to the work needed to promote I nclusion, D iversity, E quity, and Access Solutions (IDEAS) to broaden representation and build relevancy to individuals of all backgrounds for the betterment of our organization. This work enhances our mission “to foster a humanistic work environment with adequate and appropriate emotional, financial, and creative support for all those associated with us.”
Through our IDEAS Task Force, we commit to amplifying the power of diverse perspectives that help us bridge differences and will actively engage in the advancement of equity for the progress of Northern Sky and the Door County community we serve.
At Northern Sky we desire to constantly listen, learn, and grow. We believe that becoming a diverse, equitable and inclusive organization is essential to that growth.
We are committed to IDEAS as an ongoing effort, one that is not limited to an individual show or season.
HOLLY FELDMAN
Managing Director
Holly Feldman first fell in love with Northern Sky at age eight—riding her pink Huffy bike from Tennison Bay campground, parking it under a tree, and settling in under the pines to be transported. Now as Managing Director, she brings that same sense of wonder to her work, along with over two decades of nonprofit and fundraising experience.
A proud UW-Stevens Point arts management grad, Holly has quietly helped shape Door County’s creative landscape, lifting up causes she believes in and stories that need telling. She’s also been known to step into the spotlight—sharing the stage with artists she now calls dear friends.
She and her husband, Jason (yes, that Jason Feldman of Jason Feldman Landscapes), have called Door County home for nearly 25 years. Their three grown children—Georgia, Elliott, and Scout—are off on their own adventures now, but the Feldman roots remain firmly planted in Northern Sky soil.
To the supporters who stand behind this theater year after year: your generosity is the quiet force behind every note sung, every story told, and every moment of magic under the stars. Thank you.

Jeff has an MFA in Acting from the Asolo Conservatory and has performed on and off Broadway, as well as at regional theatres throughout the United States. DAVE MAIER
Company Manager
This is Dave’s eighteenth year with Northern Sky, and his second as Northern Sky’s company manager. He met his muse, Barb, when they attended the UW-Madison Theatre program together. Later, after graduating from the American Conservatory Theater Advanced Training Academy in San Francisco, Dave joined the A.C.T. acting company as an Equity actor, eventually assuming additional roles as a conservatory trainer and stage director. He was also production manager of A.C.T.’s Plays-in-Progress Program, where he helped produce over thirty premiere productions, many of which he either designed or directed. He co-founded and served eight years as artistic director for Encore Theatre Company in San Francisco, a critically acclaimed experimental theater company. Dave and Barb are spending as much time as possible these days with beautiful new grandbabies Iris (Zachary & Carah!), and Hendrik (Weston & Victoria!) We’ve been blessed to call Door County home for over thirty years now.

What is NOVA? NOVA stands for Nurturing Original Voices and Artists. It is Northern Sky Theater’s nextgeneration new works development and incubation initiative. The goal of NOVA is to foster, nurture, and expand creative opportunities for alumni, BIPOC, and emerging writers in Northern Sky’s development process.
“The Nova Initiative is a reflection of what Northern Sky has always been,” said Lachrisa Grandberry, Director of NOVA Programming. “In my time working on Sunflowered, I learned so much in the
writing process and could not have done it without the hands-on support of the leadership staff. I am a former teacher, and I enjoy using that knowledge to further this part of Northern Sky’s Mission. I’m excited to pay it forward and be more intimately involved with my theater home. Even more, I’m excited about the infinite possibilities coming as we continue to make space for next generation storytellers.”
NOVA’s principle element is Writing Circle, a six-week program held several times a year for writers to explore their voice, work on new scripts, learn more about Northern Sky, and hone their craft through exercises and peer review. NOVA also hosts single day workshops throughout the year that focus on distinct moments in a writer’s process. To learn more about The NOVA Initiative visit www.northernskytheater.com/ nova or reach out to Lachrisa via email at lachrisa@northernskytheater.com.

I was asked to update this bio, but there was a detail in last years’ playbill that concerned me. It must have escaped everyones’ notice. So I thought I would try again and see if , this year, there might be any response. So here it is again in a nutshell: I am a prolific writer of epic sagas, novels, novellas, short stories, essays, articles, sentences, and even a one word masterpiece! I have also written for the stage: musicals, plays, skits, and one really good joke. I am currently working on a sequel to Pucinnis’ Madama Butterfly called Madame Mothra. Thanx and have fun!

A Note from the Author of Something in the Water
Book, Lyrics & Music by
Matt Zembrowski
“Something In The Water” began its life in the bathroom of a diner in Waukesha. As I was washing my hands, I noticed a rustic looking print entitled “The Waukesha Springs Era” hanging on the wall. I had no idea what this meant, but I thought I’d better look into it. After some research, I found out that at one time, Waukesha was a world-renowned vacation destination thanks to the discovery of several natural springs that supposedly possessed healing powers. Just as intriguing to me was how this incredible moment in time had basically been lost to history.
The first draft of the script was completed in 2019. After a number of readings and revisions, everything seemed to be falling into place. Then the world shut down. When it became clear that it was going to remain shut down for some time, I began to wonder if the world would ever want to see an old-fashioned screwball musical comedy when (if?) we re-emerged. I set “Something in the Water” aside and wrote “Whatever Happened to Karl Janko”. A lot of people seemed to think it was pretty funny. Maybe the world needed to laugh after all, despite what we all had just been through.
Throughout this process, I’ve found it rather difficult to write anything funny when what’s going on in our world is decidedly not funny. But then I think about my daughters, Kathryn and Charlotte, and how the world my wife and I present to them on a daily basis is one that is filled with laughter and love. And in those precious moments when we’re being silly together, what’s going on “out there” seems somehow less bleak. And so I set my phone aside, I try not to worry about what might happen tomorrow, and I think about what sort of show I’d like to see right now. And I keep writing. Sometimes I even make myself laugh at what I come up with. I sure hope it makes you laugh. I think we all need it.

DAVE HUDSON
Playwright / Lyricist
Dave has honestly lost track of how many musicals he has written — but he knows it is over 30 at this point. From youth musicals like The Show Must Go Online to Naked Radio (about to have its third Canadian production), his shows have been produced around the country and around the world. He has written eight musicals for Northern Sky Theater, starting with Muskie Love in 2004. From adaptations of the classics like No Bones About It and Main-Travelled Roads, to originals like Cheeseheads and Naked Radio, his collaborations with composer Paul Libman run the gamut from comedic to heartfelt — always infused with the optimism for the human spirit they believe in so deeply. He also wrote the farcical Strings Attached with Colin Welford for Northern Sky. A twotime winner of the Richard Rodgers Award and a recipient of the ASCAP Plus Award, Dave lives in the Chicago area with his wife, Gigi, where they make theatre together at The Actors Garden. They are the proud parents of three wonderfully creative kids and were thrilled to welcome their first grandchild, Sunny Jane, this past winter.

KELLY DOHERTY
Director / Performer
This season marks Kelly’s 10th anniversary with Northern Sky, where she first appeared in No Bones About It and When Butter Churns to Gold in 2015. Since then, she has worn many hats—actor, director, and even choreographer. A graduate of UW-Whitewater with a BFA in theatre performance, Kelly calls Milwaukee home and has worked with many of Wisconsin’s leading theaters, including Forward Theater, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Next Act Theatre, and First Stage. Favorite roles include Miss Trunchbull in Matilda, Annie Wilkes in Misery, Josie in A Moon for the Misbegotten, Bodey in A Lovely Sunday for Creve Coeur, and Williamina in Silent Sky. When not onstage, she spends most of her time doing home DIY projects with her boyfriend, Humayun, and their three feline companions, who always supervise. She is endlessly grateful to her parents, Mike and Laura, for their love and encouragement, and for cheering her on every step of the way—even through countless performances, most of which they managed to stay awake for. (Mike swears the one nap was excusable—it was warm, and the opera was very long.) This season is dedicated to her mom, Wendy, whose sudden passing last fall is felt daily.

No Bones About It
A Note from the Author of Dairy Heirs
Book Joel Kopischke & Eva Nimmer
Lyrics & Story
by Joel Kopischke Music by Alissa Rhode
As far back as my memories go, I have always felt it, but it’s become more and more clear to me over my life that laughter is sacred. Bringing joy to others and experiencing it together has always been the pinnacle of life. And what better place to do that than the theatre? I first performed onstage when I was 5 years old and I made my professional debut when I was 9. I’ve spent so much of my life in theatres and on stages telling stories, cracking jokes, and having fun. And whether performing in shows with more cast members than audience, or singing in front of 50,000 people, I’ve found the principle remains.
My first aim in writing DAIRY HEIRS was to write a funny show. As it developed, we worked hard to add more meaning to the story and give our characters a rich life, powerful relationships, and challenges to overcome. And always central to the show is that they lean on each other and use music and laughter to make the difficulties in their journeys easier to bear and make the ride more enjoyable. In a way, it’s what we as musical theatre artists both on and off stage do to get through trying times.
Music is medicine, laughter is medicine, and joy is what makes life worth living. In a world that can be so divisive and siloed (pun intended—like the show, mixing dumb humor and deep thoughts), the best of human potential can be found in our shared experiences of mutual care and community. Folx who choose to gather together in person, to make music, to laugh together, are all embracing a shared human experience where our heartbeats sync up, where we create a new home, and one that cannot be duplicated online. DAIRY HEIRS is not only about finding what home means to you, but it is about nurturing the conditions in which humans can thrive, and where each individual can reach their potential. Peace.

MATT ZEMBROWSKI
Composer / Playwright / Lyricist
Matt Zembrowski first started camping here in Peninsula State Park with his family back when the drinking water in the park was more treacherous than Eagle Trail. Since then, the quality of the water has improved significantly, and two shows he wrote (“Doctor! Doctor!” in 2016 and 2017, and “Whatever Happened to Karl Janko” in 2021) have played here on the Pen Park stage. He also wrote “Dad’s Season Tickets”, which opened the Gould Theater in 2019. Additionally, Matt serves as theater director at his alma mater, Dominican High School, in Whitefish Bay. He currently resides in West Allis (where the water is more than palatable) with his wife Lori and daughters Kathryn and Charlotte. Thanks to Jeff and Molly for all of their trust and support.

Lumberjacks in Love
A Note from the Author of No Bones About It
Book & Lyrics by
Dave Hudson
Music by Paul Libman
There’s a Light Through Yonder Window.
When you adapt a story into a musical, there are moments when you just know you’ve gotten it right.
Years ago, Paul Libman and I wanted to adapt a movie into a musical. I won’t name the movie — we never got the rights — but there was a scene in it that inspired us to write a song called “Cozy.” It’s still a beautiful song. Every so often, I’ll show someone that scene from the movie and then play them our song, just to show how perfectly the music captured the moment.
In this show, we had another one of those moments.
When I sat down to write the scene, something struck me. Here was my thought process:
1. We’re at a barbecue competition — undeniably a very American, very Southern thing.
2. The word “yonder” is also a very American, Southern word.
3. Shakespeare’s famous balcony scene in Romeo and Juliet begins with *”What light through yonder window breaks?”
4. Let’s embrace that word — yonder.
And that’s how we found ourselves with another little bit of musical magic. The scene built around “There’s a Light Through Yonder Window” is such a fun, joyful retelling of Shakespeare’s balcony scene. If you get the chance after seeing this production, look up a version of that scene from any of the many film adaptations of Romeo and Juliet. I think you’ll see — we really got this one right. We honored the original and still found something new. (Lyricist Note: See if you can spot the triple rhyme near the end of the song.)
That’s really the heart of No Bones About It. It follows the same impulse that guided us with the balcony scene: respect the source material, but put our own spin on this timeless story.
And — spoiler alert — just like it says in the opening song: “This time it’s a comedy.” Nobody dies in our version. We’ve made sure there’s a happy ending for our char-crossed lovers.

A Note from the Author of The Bachelors
Book & Lyrics by Fred Alley Music by James Kaplan
I grew up in New Jersey, and dreamed of moving to California. In 1990, I was offered a rent-controlled studio apartment in Berkeley. A few months later, I met up with Fred Alley, when both of us worked at Uncle Ralph’s, a familyowned, Berkeley version of a consumer electronics store. Fred would spend the winters in Berkeley, accumulating funds to support his artistic endeavors at what was then a very small theater company in Fish Creek.
We became friends, listened to each other’s demo tapes, and by the summer of 1992, we had collaborated on our first show, “Fishing for the Moon.” In the winter of 1993, Fred came to Berkeley to spend some time working on our next show, “Northern Lights.” Fred was always looking to keep housing costs to a minimum, and I invited him to stay at my place. I had a queen-size futon and another bed that folded up into the closet. With these two beds in their sleeping positions, there wasn’t room for much more than a desk and a piano.
A few years later, and with the assistance of Doc Heide, we wrote a show called “Guys on Ice.” We talked about a bunch of ideas for a follow up, and inspired by our experiences in Berkeley, we decided to explore the world of two more grown men confined in a small space. We spent the better part of a year talking about all the strange and funny things that go on when men live together. The time came when we had to actually write the show, and we did that in Door County, in about sixty days.
Berkeley 1993 became Madison 2001, after a prologue in Victorian England, which allowed us to visit the world of Gilbert & Sullivan. A wonderful production of “H.M.S. Pinafore,” at Skylight Musical Theater left me looking for the opportunity to pay homage to G&S. The songs in “The Bachelors,” cover a broad range of styles, from nursery rhymes to Rodgers & Hart to Getz-Gilberto.
Director Jeffrey Herbst brought the show to wonderful life and, with Pam Kriger, created dances to match our silly songs, including our first Dream Ballet. We are delighted to give the show new life with a cast of charming folks who are new to the world of “The Bachelors.” And…it’s exciting to get to see the show on the stage of the Gould Theater for the very first time.

Other credits include: Juliet + Romeo at Skylight Music Theatre, Beehive: the 60’s Musical at Milwaukee Repertory Theater, and Matilda the Musical at First Stage. Some of you may also recognize her as one of the charming Tour Guides at Lakefront Brewery down in Milwaukee. Jamie would like to thank her family and friends for their love and support. She would also like to thank the lovely Northern Sky volunteers who make all of this happen and do it with a smile! Follow Jamie’s adventures on Instagram: @jamielynnmercado

DAVID CARL PETERSON
Nov. 7, 1935 – Oct. 8, 2014
Wisconsin’s Musical Historian and Northern Sky’s “Godfather”
David has been called the Godfather of this theatre because he started his Heritage Ensemble program in Peninsula State Park in the early 1970s. Upon his retirement in the mid ’90s, he encouraged a couple of resident cast members to pick up the mantle and continue play production in the amphitheater. They did, ultimately changing the name to American Folklore Theatre. In 2015, Northern Sky celebrated the extraordinary life of Dave Peterson. Members of the Heritage Ensemble, AFT, and Northern Sky presented a concert of stories and songs generously hosted by Dave’s wife, Joan, and long-time family friend, Amy Chaffee.

SOPHIE WIDMAN
Marketing Director / Events Coordinator
Sophie is thrilled to be in her second year with Northern Sky Theater as the marketing director and events coordinator. Originally from Boulder Creek, California, Sophie spent much of her early life visiting family in Madison, Wisconsin, and familiarizing herself to the change in season and snow. She graduated in 2018 from Ripon College with a degree in theatre and music and moved to the Twin Cities where she worked for The National Theatre for Children during the day and acted professionally at night. Sophie first came to Door County in 2016 where she saw her first Northern Sky show, thanks to her husband, Jimmy Balistreri, and instantly fell in love with the company, the songs, and the mission. In her spare time, Sophie enjoys camping with her husband, taking walks in state parks, and drinking lots of tea. She would love to thank her family for all their love and support in getting her to where she is today.
RICH HIGDON
Facilities Manager
Rich is an Iowa-born potter and multi-instrumentalist who lives year-round in Baileys Harbor. He is known for his skills on upright bass, washboard, spoons, jug, and ukulele, all of which he plays as a founding member of the Sheboygan-based string band The Water Street Hot Shots. He’s also a frequent stagemate to songwriter Katie Dahl (whom he happens to be married to). As an actor, Rich worked extensively with Paul Sills, pioneer of story theatre. When he isn’t hanging out with this family (Katie, their nine-year-old son Guthrie, and their sweet dog Rosie), Rich can often be found cooking, tapping trees for maple syrup, or on the pickleball court.

KATIE MAPLES
Business Manager
Katie is thrilled to begin her fourth year with Northern Sky, an organization she’s long admired since growing up in Sturgeon Bay. She earned a BA in chemistry from St. Olaf College, her teaching certificate at Lawrence University, and a MSE in physics education at UW-River Falls. Katie has pivoted her love of numbers and balancing chemical equations to the back-office activities at Northern Sky. She’s been attending performances since 1993 and started bringing her kids along as preschoolers. They love that Mom works at such an amazing place. Before this, she taught science classes for over a decade at Sevastopol. You can still catch Katie teaching, but now it’s spin and yoga for the Door County YMCA. She’d like to wish the company, volunteers, and patrons a wonderful season!

Dear Audience Member:
When can sitting be good for you and for those around you? When you are sitting in the audience of a live performance!
You read that right. By joining us for a performance you are directly improving your health and the health of our community. As an audience member, not only are you helping generate over $38.6 Million in economic activity in Door County you are helping to combat one of the biggest epidemics in our country – that of social isolation.
A recent study conducted by the Americans for the Arts1 has revealed that 91.7% of respondents agreed that the activity or venue they were attending was “a source of pride for the community” and over 90% of respondents said they would “feel a sense of loss if that activity or venue was no longer available”.
We know you agree. After all, you’re here with us. We hope you will spread the word and share with others (including your legislators and representative) that the arts in Door County play a critical role in both the intrinsic and economic vitality of this place we call home.
To learn more about the importance of the arts in Door County, please visit: www.AmericansForTheArts.org

In her down time, Sue loves hiking, kayaking, camping, and anything outdoors. Sue shares her home with a furry feline named Birdie.

DALE STAFSLIEN
Ticket Office Staff
A lot of changes have happened to us in the off season. The biggest change was we are now permanent residents of Door County and Rache has a new house to break in. Moving right in the middle of winter, now there is an adventure. It’s great to be back home at Northern Sky! Much of my time is spent in the box office keeping Becky and Kat on their toes and supplied with treats. I have also volunteered in various roles through the years and look forward to all the fun and adventure of helping you enjoy every show you see this summer. I am a retired educator, having been a choir director and an administrator for 38 years. Since we moved here, I played the part of a substitute teacher at Gibraltar Schools this past spring. Now there is a role that keeps you on your toes. This is going to be a great season with a lot of laughs and songs. Enjoy every minute rain or shine.

NINA STONEHAM
Ticket Office Staff
Nina is delighted to return to Northern Sky for her eighth season under the stars. She began her journey with the company as a volunteer in the 2017 season. She joined the box office staff beginning in 2019. Earlier that same year, Nina graduated from University of Wisconsin - Green Bay with a BA in theater performance. Her behind-the-scenes credits include being production assistant for the world premiere of Dad’s Season Tickets and assistant stage manager for the 2022 revival. Nina was last seen on stage in Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde with Rogue Theater. More recently, she performed in An Audition for a Murder, a riveting dinner theater murder mystery, with the same company. She looks forward to reprising her role as “Alana Stanton” for a run of the same show in September at the DC Arts Center. She is incredibly excited that Dairy Heirs and No Bones About It are returning to the Northern Sky stage! One scene in No Bones About It remains the most hilarious scene she’s ever seen on stage, in her entire life. She hopes you enjoy the show!
Northern Sky’s One Act of Kindness Society, launched in 2021, celebrates those who have chosen to create a lasting legacy by including Northern Sky in their will, trust, or estate plan. The phrase “one act of kindness” comes from the lyrics of a song in the musical, Boxcar. The song insists that one act of kindness often ripples out into many others by reminding us “there is good in the world.”

Northern Sky Theater Donations
Experts tell us that running a professional theater that solely creates and produces original musicals priced so the whole family can attend is impossible. We do it anyway. We exist because of you. Individual and foundation gifts account for thirty percent of Northern Sky’s operating budget. A heartfelt THANK YOU to the contributors listed below. Included in these lists are all the folks who contributed to our Burn the Mortgage – Build the Bridge Campaign in 2024. Donations from April 1, 2024, through March 31, 2025, are acknowledged in this playbill. Northern Sky Theater is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, so your donation is tax deductible.
THANK YOU TO OUR GENEROUS DONORS!

Volunteers of Northern Sky Theater
Do you love theatre? Do you love the outdoors? Do you enjoy sharing that experience with others? If your answers are “yes!” then we have the perfect opportunity for you!
Northern Sky offers many different ways to get involved with the theatre experience – ushering, selling concessions, guiding parking and assisting our disabled guests, as well as assisting with special events. Volunteers can choose what job they would like to do and their hours – no matter what you enjoy doing and when you enjoy doing it, there is a task for everyone.
If this sounds interesting, we’d love to hear from you. No experience is necessary – just a willingness to help and a desire to be part of something original in Door County. Please call the Northern Sky office at (920) 854-6117 or e-mail volunteer@northernskytheater.com.

OUTDOOR PARK RAIN POLICY
The show will go on if at all possible. Northern Sky staff will wait to decide on cancelling a show until show time, or even a bit after if the weather appears to be passing. If the show is less than half over when called off, you will have the option of either a refund or a rain check ticket, which is good for any future Northern Sky performance without expiration (watch for an email from our office). Otherwise guests will be issued rain check tickets only. If you choose not to attend and the show goes on as scheduled, there are no refunds.
