COURSES

The curriculum is divided into three pathways: Pathway 1 – A-Level only Pathway 2 – Applied General and BTEC National Level Only Pathway 3 – Mix of A-Level and Applied General/ BTEC National Level

A-Levels are normally studied over two years.

Level 3 Applied General and Tech Level qualifications are equivalent to A-Levels and also studied over two years, for example:

BTEC/OCR Level 3 Extended Certificate = 1 A-Level BTEC/OCR Level 3 Diploma = 2 A-Levels BTEC/OCR Level 3 Extended Diploma = 3 A-Levels On the following page is a list of potential courses. The courses that are listed are not guaranteed to run and are subject to student uptake. A pass is currently a grade 4. Re-sit lessons will take place alongside your planned Post 16 study.

Some subjects may stipulate a minimum grade at GCSE to be accepted onto their course. All applications to our Sixth Form will be considered on an individual basis.

You must re-sit GCSE English and Maths if you do not pass them at the end of Year 11.
