WORK EXPERIENCE
Advertisement
Work Experience is a valuable addition to your CV and can enhance your employability and support applications to courses. It is just as relevant to those students who are intending to remain in full time education as to those who will go on to training or full time work. Year 12 students undertake one week of work experience at the end of the summer term.
VOLUNTEERING IN THE COMMUNITY
Students in the Sixth Form volunteer to take part in a range of community based projects.
Every student in Year 12 is expected to give up 20 hours of their own time to support a whole range of worthwhile causes. In recognition of this we hold a formal awards ceremony. Every student in Year 12 aims to achieve a bronze award. Many students exceed this and go on to achieve silver, gold and even platinum awards.
STUDENT AMBASSADORS
Our team of senior students plan social and fund raising events within Sixth Form and the wider community. They support the Student Council in lower school in organising whole school events and activities.
Towards the end of Year 12, students are invited to apply for the role of Student Ambassador and the role of Student President. Senior Students serve as role models to other pupils, contributing to an ethos where all students’ views are respected and valued.
